I read articles all the time about groups, protests, events I don't agree with, but do so to stay informed. How is this any different? There are hundreds of news outlets to pick from. Find one you like...but personally, I think it's good to read from a variety of sources.

Scientist.........who said they should leave? They simply stated if you don't like reading about Mormons, select another publication. And apparently there are a bunch of people who are religious bigots.........and to those, I do say, leave.

    To "the scientist"
No one is saying that people need to agree or shut up. But it is ridiculous to criticize a "Mormon Times" article for focusing on "Mormons."
Would a brick-layer be offended if he read an article in a carpentry magazine that focused on carpenters instead of brick-layers?

Since this article was published in the "Mormon Times" section of the DNews it makes sense that it is about Mormons in the Olympics.

    Be smart,

How very Christian of you. We who are not LDS hear this sentiment all the time: if you don't like everything about Mormons and Mormonism, don't criticize, just be quiet or leave!

The Desnews is owned by the LDS church so they commonly have these articles.
If that is offensive then I invite you to either switch news sources, write a letter to the editor, or get over it.
