Since Americans vote with their wallets, what effects do you think higher minimum wages will have on sales of goods made in China but sold here in America? Obviously, higher wages makes goods made in the US less competitive with imports from China and, darn it, there goes your job! Liberals love to blame US corporations for loss of jobs and for income inequality but the truth is, American consumers will not spend more money for goods made in the US as long as cheaper goods from China and other foreign producers are available! American consumers are voting with their wallets and American workers are losing the elections in droves while made in China wins. Every time minimum wages increase, every time we have new regulations, new environmental restrictions and higher taxes here, the less competitive American workers become and the more jobs we lose to "Made in China"!

China doesn't practice free trade. Japan doesn't practice free trade. Neither does South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, or Vietnam. The TPP is a wholly corporate designed deal, designed to send more American jobs to these countries who will sign this agreement while never living up to it. We are the world's chumps thanks to "free trade" agreements like this.
