Neither movie was 'edgy' enough-- that's why they were snubbed.

I grew up with Robert Redford who took the world by storm in his movies. Very professional in his acting, kindly in his environmental approach, and respected by Utahans everywhere because of his generosity to share Sundance with all of us (free concerts, kid activities, etc.), Robert has touched our lives and hearts daily as well as added so much to a state we love. No matter what the Academy says, Robert has my vote as an amazing actor, kindly person, and friend to all!

Redford was boring in his ocean movie and Dicaprio found out that he couldn't carry Redfords water in gatsby....and hanks is so one dimensional ...he continually plays himself. Bale was amazing in American hustle and deserves to win.....

Bob Redford is an amazing actor and so is Tom Hanks! I'm truly grateful for Bob, the notoriety he has brought to Utah, the Sundance Festival, and taking Utah into the next century. Thank you!
