I have always related more to sidekicks/secondary heroes then main heroes, even though main heroes are generally more "awesome". For example, my screen name on Deseret News is named after my favorite character from one of my favorite book series (and later film series) of all time (he is not who I think the most awesome character is, but I think he is the best character from the books.movies as far as daring to do what is right despite natural weaknesses, being the least corruptible by the ring/temptations, staying true to his word, doing what is right despite it being hard and despite him not getting the most credit, etc.). Frodo would not have made it far without Sam. I kind of just randomly chose the name though but whatever. I have also always related more to Spock (logical, rule following with few exceptions) then Kirk. Kirk would have been doomed quite a few times without Spock.
