my birthday is Jan 4 and I can certainly dito what this article is saying. All the holidays are over and people are returning to work and school and add to that the bleak cold weather.... I have always hated my birthday. I even asked my mom once if I could change it to before Christmas. January is an ugly month no question for most people and the only way I have found to deal with it is to get out doors - go skiing or snow shoeing or snow snowmobiling ...get out of the inversion and into the blue warm sky of the mountains on a weekly basis. Makes a BIG difference in attitude as well as your health.

I had never heard of this before.....but considering two co-workers announced they are divorcing their spouses and my spouse was canned at work on Monday, I'd have to vote Yes, Jan. 6, 2014, is the most depressing day of 2014 so far! I hope none of the others days tries to out-do it.

My vote is for ANY day in January as the most depressing day of the year.
Can't wait until January is over!

Of course it exists. It might be different for everyone, but every day of the year exists, and the state of how we experience each day exists, too.
