Attorney general candidates likely meet residency requirements

    Nearly everyone will agree with DN Subscriber 2 -- there can't be the slightest tolerance for fudging rules or arguing nuances. A candidate with any questionable background items or relationships will be totally skewered in the press, with both this year's appointment and next year's election, as they should be. Citizens of all affiliations demand clean government and a strong break from the past. We need a fresh start with a trustworthy AG immediately, not a year from now.

    I doubt if the residency requirements are as obscure, arcane and convoluted as the mandates that John Swallow has been rumored (but not formally charged) with breaking.

    It is not a good thing when those eager to replace the besieged Attorney General start off ignorant of, or at least looking bad with regards to the residency rules.
