So well deserved! Most of us fans hold on so tightly to those glory days of Sloan, Stockton, Malone, Horny, Larry Miller, etc. etc. and are so reluctant to let go and move on to the present and future teams and enjoy them (or not) for what they bring. The focus now is to remain a Jazz fan with encouragement as well as frustration in the rebuilding and growth of these young players. I hope we will stick with them for who they are and not for who we wished them to emulate. Congrats, Jerry, you belong in the rafters with the best of the best!

    Go Jazzboys tonight against Portland!

What number will they put up for him? 19, for his playoff appearances? 4 from his old days? 23 for him number of years with the Jazz? 450+ for the number of T's he got as a coach?

I would say that 23 might be the most fitting, although MJ wore 23, so..........

The comments that Stockton and Sloan consistantly make remind me of how special they really are compared to the coaches and athletes that exist today.

They take little credit and do everything they can to reflect the glory. Too rare today.
