    I store ONLY chocolLate. When the time comes, I will be able to trade it for anything.

    I have used cocoa powder that had been stored for years and could detect no loss of flavor.
    Cream a tablespoon or so (to taste) of honey with two tsp. cocoa powder, add hot milk for a yummie treat.

    Chocolate will last much longer if you put it in jars and use your foodsaver to remove the air and seal the jar! I have several jars of chocolate chips.. all were canned the same day.. recently I noticed one jar of chocolate chips had turned sort of white.. the lid had become unsealed.. air is an enemy to chocolate.. but they still taste good in a cookie or brownie! Tip: After Halloween, Valentines Day, Christmas and Easter buy candy on sale and stock up.. then put them away for another day using either a foodsaver or oxygen absorbers! Happy eating!
