    Credit cards can be great if you only charge what you can pay off every month. Use their money for up to 25 days for free. That will help your credit score and you get any bennys offered by the card.

    To spend more than that and carry a balance due that rolls over every month is not only expensive but...well, foolish.

    Credit card debt (not by me) ruined a marriage, and eventually ended it.
    I still don't decorate for the holidays a decade later.

    Get out, and stay out of debt.
