Didn't his dad play in the NFL?

Yes Ernest. He played Lineback, and QB for the New York Yankees, 1985-1999. One of the last players to start both offense and defense, while winning the Preakness, Wimbleton, and outbowling Ernie McCracken (Big Ern) with a rubber hand.

He went on to a career on Wallstreet, where he won many awards for his tasty peanut stand.

Touting a conference's SOS when your team is the door mat in that conference isn't much of an argument. It's not a compliment that playing Utah will bring down most PAC12 teams' SOS.

Down under, why don't you tell us your conference strength of schedule?

Some teams play easy games at first and have tough games night after night in conference play. And others play good teams at first and high school teams in conference play

And I will remind you that conference play(against high school teams for some) makes up more of the schedule than non conference.

If you guys want to play a tough schedule why not just join the PAC 12, big 12, or Mwc?

    Gone fishin

Marty was extremely fast and Tyler is usually a very good shooter, especially when he's shooting from his sweet spots on his mid-range jumper, so if TJ is faster and better, then he's going to be awesome.

I believe I heard that Tyler or Marty said TJ was a better overall player. He is faster and a better shooter which would be hard to do. It may not be totally accurate however so we will have to wait and see. Either way he will be one of, if not the best guard coming out of high school this year.

"Didn't his dad play in the NFL?"

You have Marty confused with Utah TE Kurt Haws, who technically played in 6 games for the 1994 Washington Redskins, without recording a single stat.

I went to lone peak with tyler and i remember seeing him in a game his freshman year, they were playing our rival, American fork. I remember thinking after tyler hit a game winning 3 that this kid was going to be amazing... and he is

"seems like Marty's team lost a heart breaker in the first round."

In a classic 5th-seed versus 12th-seed matchup, BYU lost 47-49 to Clemson in the first round of the 1990 NCAA tournament.

Marty Haws(11) and Andy Toolson(15) lead BYU with double-digit scoring, but both shot terribly, 8-27 from the field combined.

All 3 are great basketball players because of hard work, competitive drive and physical ability.

Great family B-Ball tradition; now like to see Tyler exceed Dad in advancement through NCAA tourney...seems like Marty's team lost a heart breaker in the first round.

And to think that TJ is even better than Tyler. Wow, BYU is certainly winning the recruiting war for the top HS players. in the state. BYU is loaded for years to come. Coach Rose is doing a fantastic job at building a powerful team that will compete well at a national level. BYU has the 6th toughest schedule in the country. I guess the good teams are willing to play BYU because win or lose it strengthens their SOS. Looking at the utes schudule I we all see just the opposite.
