Anybody who spent more than 30 seconds posting their comment, needs to realize how low they've stooped. People are grasping at straws over which mediocre team gets more props?!

Neither is a top 5, top 10, top 15, top 20, top 25 football program! Here's to hoping things get shaken up around this state.

    @ Uteology:

When USNGary made his comment about BYU's schedule being the 10th toughest in the country, the new Sagarin rankings hadn't come out. They change every week, based on which teams win and lose. But to say he lied, is low and classless. He was spot-on when he posted.

    @ MyPerspective:

To say that Utah never loses to BYU is absurd. Before the current streak, BYU beat Utah 3 of the 4 previous games. So even by your funny definition, it's very much a rivalry. How else would you explain Ute fans literally storming the field whenever they win in SLC.

    @ Clark W Griswold:

You are grasping at straws to count Rocky Mtn and Skyline conference results. Like most football fans, I'd never even heard of those conferences before. And by way of comparison, The WAC and MWC are each still in existence and with occasional top-10 teams. The same can't be said of the aforementioned conferences... which makes your comparison pretty poor.

You lost a lot of credibility by saying BYU has a weak schedule. It's in the nation's top 20%.
Not as hard as Utah's, but definitely not "weak" by any standard.

"what BYU fans know all about is being OWNED."

*yawn* old news uteology. What BYU fans know all about right now is that they get to watch their team in a bowl game, again, in a few weeks. What utah "fans" like yourself know all about is staying home, just like your team, for the bowl season while "frantically and emotionally" trying to convince BYU fans how good utah really is, except for all the losing of course.

You can continue to try to make that "point" all next month and all through the offseason if you'd like, I'll enjoy my time in San Francisco and the offseason having attended another bowl game. LOL!

Despite Utah's #1 SOS and BYU's #23 SOS (BYU's 2013 SOS is stronger than any schedule Utah has ever played, prior to this season), the latest BCS standings show a much great disparity:

    #40 BYU (28, 35, 31, 36, 33, 39 - 33.75)
    #59 Utah (62, 67, 48, 70, 42, 58 - 58.75)

Following an article on Utah football you can bank on the following:
    1 - Chris B will predict a Utah victory.
2- Chris B will be wrong most of the time if Utah is playing a PAC 12 team.
3- The same Y fans will make the same posts about how bad Utah is. Seems they car more about the red team losing than the blue team winning.
4- The fans mentioned above will claim their team is superior, reference a bowl game and show their jealousy over inclusion in a big 5 conference.
5- More than half of the comments won't really have any relevance to the article, are designed to irritate the fans of the other team, and have become really annoying.
6- There will be an article on BYU football and all of the above will apply (except Chris B may predict a Y loss and still be wrong most of the time).

Ignoring all the standard posts, Utah is better this year but still doesn't show up on the road and isn't able to win (yet) in the conference with the current group of coaches and players.

"Do you honestly believe that anybody living outside the crimson bubble cares about Rocky Mountain and Skyline conference championships, most with only 4 or 5 conference wins?"

Yes! The same reason Y fans care about their WAC championships. They're both just as legitimate.

"Not ONE of Utah's 18 pre-WAC conference champions was good enough to be ranked and only one of them was good enough to be invited to a bowl"

Dude! There was very few bowl games played back then and no conference tie-ins. If there were as many bowl games in the 70's and 80's as there were before the WAC. Utah would be going bowling as conference champions.

"The truth is, Utah has only won 6 legitimate conference championships - 2 WAC, 4 MWC"

Since you don't consider the Rocky Mountain and Skyline conference championships legitimate. Then the WAC and the MWC are not legitimate conference championships either! There are 5 legitimate conferences in college football: ACC, Big 12, Big Ten, PAC-12, and SEC. The rest are mid major conferences!

Neither BYU or Utah have legitimate conference championships or if the WAC and MWC are legitimate, so is Rocky Mountain and Skyline conferences.

Spot on. Both of our teams are not doing too well right now. Both teams game play has been almost agonizing to watch this year. I don't know if it is our fan bias or something else, but I think both fanbases feel like their teams just need a little extra push to get over the hump.

For BYU, getting wins over Wisc and ND would have shown that we are ready to be the team that independence needs to get the proper exposure.

For UTAH, they have had issues at quarterback but seem to just fall short otherwise. They are almost there.

Too much bashing on each other trying to feel like we are superior. I guess Utah beats us more...

    @ atl134

If you want to believe in moral victories go right ahead. But the fact is Utah is still losing and for the second straight year, not going to a bowl game. Unacceptable! Thanks for pointing out the games we won! But lets also not forget the games we lost which should have been wins: Oregon State, UCLA, and ASU at home. I believe Arizona and Washington State were winnable road games that we lost. In those 5 losses, a combination of bad defensive schemes or poor QB play lost it for us.

My comment about Whitt's failures in developing QB's still stands. I'm not blaming the coaching for the injuries. Blame is assigned for not having the second string QB in a condition and mindset to perform sufficiently. While it's true that QB's differ in their natural skill sets and the coach can't be held accountable for that, it's also true that coaching can manipulate a player's natural talent to some degree. So, yes, the coaches do seem to have failed at having the backup QB sufficiently prepared.

It all comes down to, are you satisfied with mediocrity? I'm not!

While there are plenty of classless fans on both sides of the BYU-Utah divide posting on each other's stories to rub salt in wounds, I've seen many BYU fans say they root for Utah whenever the teams don't play each other, and to wish the Utes we'll in the past months. I honestly don' recall any avowed Utes doing the same. This should not be a one-way street, should it be? Would be happy to be corrected if I've missed some.

Those of you wanting Whittingham's head may want to think about it. Recruiting athletes against the other PAC teams is difficult enough. But if K.W. is sent packing then U will also lose any insight and edge U had with LDS athletes (in state or out of state).

That being said there needs to be an improvement somehow.

Pathetic. Who cares about PAC 12 membership if we become the doormat? Three years in and we have officially become the PAC 12 doormat (evidenced today by our loss to the previous PAC 12 doormat, Washington State).

I thought we had turned a corner when we joined the PAC 12. Whit needs to go. And Chris Hill needs to go. I wish I could say I am looking forward to basketball season, but it looks like we will be the third (or fourth) best team in the STATE again this year. What are we 0-7 against BYU over the last few years in basketball? What gives? We need a change.

Honestly, I really don't see us beating Colorado based on our season so far. ONE win in PAC 12 play...but hey, at least we have a really tough schedule...

The bottom line is to win enough games to go bowling. The extra practice days help the younger players prepare for the upcoming year. It allows the fans to cheer for one more game during the holiday season. It helps in the recruiting to some degree. Players that choose a school like the fact that a team has a shot at a bowl game. Yes all teams would love to play for a national championship team. The SEC only has so many scholarships for players to play for a title shot. The rest of the teams try and do their best with what they have. Most football games are scheduled 5 to 10 years out and no one knows what kind of team they will be from now until then. The Utes and the Y are not where they wanted to be when the season started. One goes to a bowl and one does not. One completed an item on the bucket list and one did not. Does not matter who played who nor who won or lost by how much. Comments are here for us to bug and rag on each others team. San Francisco is nice in December.

    Nov. 24, 2013 1:27 p.m.

Schedules are not close. BYU has played one ranked team in comparison five ranked teams Utah has played. Just because some of teams your school have played have winning record, doesn't mean your schedule is really difficult. You have to look at the teams schedule you have played to get an indicator of good they're. If you flip the schedules, Utah is going to bowl game and BYU stays home. BYU would lose to UCLA, Utah, USC, Oregon, Stanford, ASU, AZ, and Oregon State. That equates to eight losses. Utah would beat MTS, NEV, UVA, BYU, HOU, BOISE, IDAHO, GT, USU. Utah would have nine wins.It doesn't take rocket science or Stanford education to figure this out. Like I said before, the record argument is relative.

    From a BYU advocate

I have watched sports fans vilify and demonize their rivals. They look for any flaw and magnify it. They justify their hatred with broad generalizations and apply them to everyone associated with the other team. When ill fortune afflicts their rival, they rejoice.

Brethren, unfortunately we see today too often the same kind of attitude and behavior spill over into the public discourse of politics, ethnicity, and religion.

My dear brethren of the priesthood, my beloved fellow disciples of the gentle Christ, should we not hold ourselves to a higher standard? As priesthood bearers, we must realize that all of God’s children wear the same jersey. Our team is the brotherhood of man. This mortal life is our playing field. Our goal is to learn to love God and to extend that same love toward our fellowman. We are here to live according to His law and establish the kingdom of God. We are here to build, uplift, treat fairly, and encourage all of Heavenly Father’s children.

BYU fans shouldn't you practice what you preach?!

    @Clark Griswald
"Whitt needs to go! His teams have regressed since joining the Pac-12. Whitt is an absolute failure at developing quarterbacks"

Absolute nonsense. This team was much better than last years' incarnation that regularly got beat down by opponents. Utah lost one game this year that they were favored to win (Oregon State) and only had one bad loss (USC, though in retrospect now that USC has turned things around that doesn't seem so bad anymore). They beat a top ten team in Stanford. They beat a good BYU team. They beat the Keeton version of Utah State which even without Keeton might be going to the MWC championship game.

As for QBs... yeah it's totally Whit's fault that Wynn got injured a lot, Wilson got injured, and that it's the logical move to not burn Manning's redshirt. Utah hasn't had their starting QB make it through the season since 2008. Everyone outside of Salt Lake looks at the fire Whit comments and thinks "what the heck are you guys thinking?" and they're right.

Deal with the o-line and secondary since those are the weak points. Fire Whitt? Absolutely not.

    Mr. Caveman
"Losing on the road in a monsoon on the first game of the season..." Exactly, because the other team (Virginia) didn't have to play in those conditions.

"If Utah would learn to stop focusing on their rivals and focus on trying to win at least the division, the team would have more success."

What are you talking about? Utah's rivals are the teams in their division. How are they not focusing on them?

Now, if you are referring to fans on the sports boards made available by local (Salt Lake City) media and by "rival" you mean byu, you need to take a step back and realize the world does not revolve about byu. There are boards to which all fans in the Pac-12 have access and I can assure you, there is zero discussion about byu. It is very clear, on those boards, who Utah's rivals are. Be careful not to confuse what you want to think with what actually exists.

Utah fans are tired of losing to their rivals. Utah does not lose to byu and by extension, is not a rival.

    Nov. 24, 2013 11:57 a.m.

Just thought I would give perspective from someone who is not from the area and is not fan of either school. Utah and BYU are both good teams but neither are great. I'm Stanford graduate who has recently move to SLC. After watching Utah beat Stanford and BYU beating Texas, I have gained respect for both teams. I have watched both teams play this year and I don't see big gap between either schools. First of all BYU fans, just because you have a better record and your team is going to bowl game, doesn't mean you're the better team. The record argument is relative because both teams play different schedules. For BYU fans to say Utah is bad for not making a bowl game, BYU in my opinion wouldn't be bowl eligible if they had Utah schedule. Where would the guaranteed six wins come from? BYU is a beneficiary of weak schedule. If you give Utah or any of the top 10 team in the PAC BYU schedule, they would all win at least eight games. It is really easy to beat teams that are in Big Sky, American Athletic, MWC, and Conf USA.

I am a huge BYU fan, It gets frustrating to watch a team do so well and then play so terrible at times. I know some other BYU fans are going to come on here and rip me a new one because they are so BYU biased but I don't care. That is their own fault that they can't give respect when it's due. I don't think BYU is going to get to that next level. We are stuck at being a decent team. We don't play good teams week in and week out. We play a touch game every couple of weeks and while we play bad teams allows us to prepare for the big upcoming team.

If BYU played in a big conference we would be towards the bottom. I know we have had some success in beating teams in the past but never have we played every single week against big time teams. I just don't for see us going anywhere anytime soon. We would be in the same situation as TCU and Utah if we played in a confernce.

I think you hit it right on. Living outside the Zion curtain, I know what people say and think about the state of Utah's lack of football. There is no respect for Utah, BYU, or Utah State. As much needling as I've done to Utah, I know most of them are classy. Some like to make up stories and such on these boards because they can hide behind a computer. But the truth is, if the Utah schools would stop the bickering and start cheering the other teams on, The state of Utah would likely see a huge increase in the level of play. What if BYU fans went to U of U games when BYU was away, and vise virsa. Cheering the Utes on! I'd say I'd be pretty impressed. As it is, even though Utah had a lot of close games this year. Next year, people are only going to remember the W/L column. Which wouldn't be reflective of any of the teams.

"There are no true Ute fans, only anti-byu fans" has never been much of an argument. byu fans proffer that notion simply because enjoy feeling persecuted. I'm a faithful member of the same church and I have never understood some of the things you people say. It's fun to see it in print, though.

As for the list of teams you say are so tough...playing Texas this year is playing a reputation. Nothing more. Georgia Tech is a far cry from a "tough" team even though they are in a BCS conference. That notion plays in perfectly to the illusion Holmoe is trying to create. I'm surprised you didn't throw Virginia into your list. Utah is the same although they were looked very promising early on. Houston not a cup cake? That's a stretch especially for a team in the weakest of all BCS conferences. Utah St? Nope. BSU? Nope.

That leaves Wisconsin, which by normal standards has not done all that well and Notre Dame. It's interesting that Wisconsin lost to ASU and ND beat them. Both by the slimmest of margins.

That leaves byu with two respectable, legitimate games.

Losing on the road in a monsoon on the first game of the season installing a brand new offense with a brand new coaching staff losing at the very end of the game is a whole lot better than losing on the road to the usual bottom feeder and getting dominated from the very beginning and getting half a century of points put on you.

Turn on the coach warmers, the Couch Potato Bowl is going to extend an invite shortly! Lots of good football left to come with both Big Brothers playing still. If Utah would learn to stop focusing on their rivals and focus on trying to win at least the division, the team would have more success. Dude! You need to get your facts straight before you spout off false information.

Notre Dame has won 11 national championships and Utah has won 24 conference championships.

The rest of your comment I agree with you. After losing to Washington State and securing a second straight losing season. Whitt needs to go! His teams have regressed since joining the Pac-12. Whitt is an absolute failure at developing quarterbacks (the most important position on the field), and it shows on the field. I don't see anything changing as long as this coaching staff is still around.

With that said, BYU isn't looking all that stellar either. They're coaching staff is just as bad as Utah's. Beat all weak teams and lose to all the good BCS teams. It is definitely a difficult time being a Utah fan, but those of us who love the Utes and were there in the 80's when it was really bad stuck with them.

Ironically, when the Utes were in the MWC they consistently beat teams in the Pac 12. The Pac 12 is a much stronger conference than it was 5 years ago.

Coug fans, what gives you reason to gloat? You beat a decent Texas and Boise State team (neither like their top teams of years past). Since BYU plays a tough game about every 3 games, they should be winning more marquee matchups.Idaho State just got thumped by Weber State today and Virginia has lost 8 straight.

Great job Cougs, you are going bowling by playing a schedule that Bo Didley Tech could have gotten to a bowl game with. Enjoy

I'm a Ute who will stick with my team even in losing and don't mind all the good natured ribbing by classy BYU fans. Playing in the Pac 12 is still more fun than the MWC. Injuries took their toll on the Utes this year.

    A patient and longsuffering Ute.

Congratulations, the Utes just extended their losing streak to 5 straight games, and you're only a couple of plays away from that streak being 9 straight losses.

Back in the spring/early summer of 2011 when the mighty Utes were blowing their trumpet on being accepted into the conference of champions, I said that in 3-5 years Utes would be Pac-12 doormats and nobody would ever take them seriously. I said they would become the Iowa State, Duke, Vandy and Baylor of the Pac-12. (Those last 3 teams are all good now, kinda of funny) Last year at the end of the football season, I said Kyle would be fired after 3 straight losing seasons and no bowl games. That means Kyle better get the Utes to a bowl game next year or he'll be looking for new employment. My predictions are looking really good right now. One has already happened (3 years and doormats) and other one looking more and more likely. Have fun in the Pac-12 Utes!

Utah is a better team / program than this. Injuries have really hurt the U this year so give Whitingham some slack..he is actually a really good coach. That said I will say in order for Kyle to keep his big salary he his going to have to start winning consistently starting next season against seller dweller teams like Washington State and then also against Arizona, Arizona State, CAL and Washington..all very beatable teams.

So...Utah wins a total of 8 PAC 12 Conference games to date, meaning if they win the Rumble-in-the-Rockies next week it will be 9 games. My prediction was WRONG because I predicted it would take then 3 seasons to win 10 conference games. That prediction was made during the first season. Now we see it will take FOUR seasons to get ten wins. That is mighty impressive, what with it being the PAC 12 and all, along with all the hype from year one about going to the Rose Bowl. For a 2nd year, it's NO bowl.

Gotta love that PAC 12 membership. (How many times has Arizona been to the Rose Bowl and yet they defeated Utah this year, too.)

chris b - "0% chance Utah loses. Mark it Down."

BYU loses by 10 to an elite program with more national championships than Utah has conference championships.

Utah loses to one of the worst programs in the PAC by 13 and is left to battle Colorado for last place (cellar dweller) in the PAC South.

I've said that Whit would be around next year, even without going to a bowl this year. But this game changes my thinking. If the utes lose to the Buffs, Whit may not survive. At this point, I have to say the game is 60 / 40. I give the utes a slight edge only because Colorado is on the road.

utes looked like a very good team through mid October, but the second half of the season has been a disaster. This was their worst game of the year.

  • The Moose Southern, UT
    Nov. 23, 2013 9:49 p.m.

I am disappointed. However, it brings some laughter for BYU fans to say they are like Stanford. Really? You guys are bad too. You just found teams that were worse to play. If the Pac 12 would cut league games to 8, they would always over qualify teams for bowls. That extra league game lets teams in the conference knock each other out. So...I guess the Utes took the cash and the Cougars went the easy route to a bowl. Don't really know which is better. Also, kudos to USU for overcoming losing their QB and still doing ok. That would not have happened in the Pac.

NOT RIGHT. It is possible for a really bad team rise up every now and again and beat the better team. Utah did this with BYU and Stanford. Just because the utes beat Stanford does NOT make hem better than Stanford, same with BYU. Good teams get better as the season goes on. Utah has gotten worse. The mark of a good team is to be consistent and get to bowl games year after year. If you will look at the difference between BYU and utah you will see that BYU makes it to bowl games while utah stays at home. Nice try though.

Yes, BYU lost but Utah just lost also and that guarantees a losing season for the Utes and no bowl game again. Congratulations to Utah...you are in the PAC 12, yippee. But you cannot even win 6 games in a season. Your logic is faulty when you say that because BYU lost to Utah they are worse than the doormat. The best team does not always win, that is just life, upsets happen, ie Utah over Stanford and Virginia over BYU. It does not make that team better, they just scored more on that night. If the Utes record were at least 6 and 5 right now, then I would agree, the Utes are the better team, but they are not; they are 4 and 7. Deal with it.

The only problem is that NO other school counts moral victories so they will not have an opponent. Utes win by default. Give them the trophy NOW so they can have their first trophy for the new case.

  • MormonUte Centerville, UT
    Nov. 23, 2013 8:43 p.m.

Well, fellow Ute fans, it has been a long 6 weeks or so. Some thoughts:

    1. Personally, I think there are some defining moments for every program. A big one for us was that TCU beating at home 3 years ago. After the 27-0 loss at UNLV in 2007, the Utes went 39-4 over the next 4 years, with 2 of those 4 losses coming on last second plays in Provo, and a 31-24 loss at Oregon. Since the TCU beatdown, the program is 19-22. Without BYU, we would be 15-22, and they are not on the schedule for 2 years.
    2. As tough as this year's schedule has been, next year might be worse. Road games at Arizona State, Stanford, UCLA and Oregon State are coming up, with Oregon and USC coming in to Rice-Eccles. 6 wins will be hard to come by again.
    3. We are probably playing next year's brutal schedule with a Freshman quarterback, again.
    4. Whit is in trouble. He still has a job because of past performance. The Sugar Bowl win was nearly 5 years ago. He can't live on that forever.

Indeed the 2013 season has been painful for this Ute fan. Not much consolation in beating a mid-major independent, a MWC team, and a decent PAC 12 team.

I still feel hope for the coming years. I think it is a huge transition from the MWC to a BCS conference. The next 2-3 seasons will clearly show where Utah is at. PAC 12 membership is tremendous, but brutal. I imagine any team / school from the MWC or the WAC would jump on an invitation to join. The fans are going to have to be patient for the next 5-10 years. Most people knew that the move to the PAC was going to be very painful over the short-term. Realistically, in the next year or two, the move will probably cost an outstanding coach and an OK athletic director their jobs because of the fan's impatience. It would be sad to see the Utes lose their coach, the team's will only get worse. There are very few coaches of his caliber.

@md - I'm still here. Where did you go? Getting your crow ready I presume? I'll remind you what I said:

    Utes win. End of story.

That WSU missed PAT is going to be the difference. Being up by only 6 is dangerous.

  • 2013 Ute Seniors SWEEP byU 4-0 Ogden, UT

Naysers(both utes and cougars) looking bad right now.

    Utes going to win!

    Notre Dame going to win!

    HUGE 64 yard TD.

    Play of the game.

Scratch that, play of the YEAR

The score got close for a while but the mighty Wazzu Cougars had too many weapons for Ute defense. But there is still the fourth quarter.

We are talking about Washington State and not Oregon right? The same WSU that was a lock when the schedule was announced before the season began!

1 possession game. Get the CROW ready.

    BOTH cougars going down.

    Perfect day of football!

    Utes win
    byu loses

Sorry died in the wool Ute fan but this program has imploded. Every aspect is at least sub par if not worse than season beginning.

It only gets worse next year. Time to cut our loses. Maybe 4 and 8 with a 3 and 1 start will be the impetus.

  • Ken Sandy, UT
    Nov. 23, 2013 3:55 p.m.

@md - I'm right here. Where will you be after Utah pulls off the comeback? Still think we'll pull this game out.

  • Christopher B Ogden, UT
    Nov. 23, 2013 3:54 p.m.

Of ye of little faith. Utah coming back strong. How are you going to look when you gave up on our team and we come back and WIN?

  • Joe Schmoe Orem, UT
    Nov. 23, 2013 3:52 p.m.

Is there anywhere to watch this game? I keep turning the channels and all I can find is BYU/ ND or Ore/Az.

    Nov. 23, 2013 3:52 p.m.

Score differentials of both Utah and BYU games almost mirroring each other once Utah stopped throwing picks. If that's what it will take for Utah to pull this one out, then I'll say it: Go BYU! Go Utes!

  • jarka-rus Layton, Utah

They are still losing haahhahahah, you act like they are winning and the game is over

    Ken.....Where are you Ken?

The Utes are the worst in the Pac12, MWC and WAC.

  • Christopher B Ogden, UT
    Nov. 23, 2013 3:31 p.m.

That missed PAT will be HUGE I think.

Being up "only" 13 is a dangerous position.

Come on utes, ONWARD and UPWARD. Lets get to that bowl.

  • 2013 Ute Seniors SWEEP byU 4-0 Ogden, UT
    Nov. 23, 2013 3:30 p.m.

    We've got ALL the momentum.

Don't throw pick 6's and we win. Its that simple.

And we ARE going to win.

I've been wrong before, but not today. I just don't see this defense letting us down.

    Go UTES

  • Snack PAC Olympus Cove, Utah

Utes getting dominated by the Wazoo at the half.

What's the point of having a game blog if the DN isn't going to post any comments?

  • Two For Flinching Salt Lake City, UT
    Nov. 23, 2013 3:13 p.m.

    Good call, Ken.

I think we are seeing the beginning of the end of the Whittingham era. If he wants to save his job Finn, Hill, Roderick, and Shah need to be let go. The O-line is awful. The kick return and kick coverage teams are embarrassing. Receivers run terrible routes, continually drop balls, and in Norwood's case, bat the ball as high as possible into the air, and the secondary is as bad as I can remember. Nobody can read the QB, or even locate the ball while it's in the air. I had higher hopes for the Utes, but it is obvious that this team will be stuck in mediocrity until something changes.

    Utes just down 9.

We've got this. I still say there is NO WAY we lose this game.

  • Chris B Salt Lake City, UT
    Nov. 23, 2013 2:46 p.m.

Another HUGE ute stop deep in our territory.

Defense playing like BEASTS. Reilly has established himself as the best linebacker in the state. This defense is a top 20 defense in the nation. As long as Shulz stops giving them points we'll win the game.

    And I'm confident we will.

They can't score on our defense. Only on our offense.

  • Chris B Salt Lake City, UT
    Nov. 23, 2013 2:38 p.m.

    Told ya!

I GUARANTEED Utah wins this game.

For those who doubted, get your crow ready.

Utes WILL win. Utes WILL beat our rival Colorado. Utes WILL go bowling.

  • Ken Sandy, UT
    Nov. 23, 2013 2:32 p.m.

Normally going down 21-0 I'd say game over, But its Washington state. Like I said before the game started: "Utes win. End of story"

  • Chris B Salt Lake City, UT

0% chance we lose this, one, even starting down 21-0.

Not to worry Chris there is still three and a half quarters to make up the 3 touchdown deficit.

Looking past Wazzu for the RIVALRY game against Colorado and the coveted Cellar Trophy that goes to the loser.

  • Chris B Salt Lake City, UT
    Nov. 23, 2013 2:10 p.m.

Bad start. But I'm not too worried. Remember last time we won in overtime with a huge field goal here in Pullman? Maybe our skiing kicker will win it this time. However it may happen, utes win

    Mark that down!

  • ImaUteFan West Jordan, UT

Nothing is a lock for Utah, they could easily lose the rest of the year, but hey at least their in the Pac 12 right?
I mean a 4 win year is terrible by most standards, but because Utah is in the Pac 12, they really should be given a lot of leeway. Really we should just double the win count to 8 because of the tough schedule.
Utah is a Pac 12 Member! YAAY!!

  • Ken Sandy, UT
    Nov. 23, 2013 1:36 p.m.

Two words: pass rush. That's the difference in the game. This is the worst division 1 team we have played all season.

    Utes win. End of story.
