Everyone in favor of providing "free" medical care needs to go down to their local hospital with their checkbook and offer to pay the bills of people who claim they cannot pay.

Expanding ANY federal entitlement program when most are already unsustainable is bad policy for everyone.

There is a huge difference between helping others, and dooming everyone to disaster by well-intentioned, but fundamentally flawed generosity.

Strange that the hospitals would want a program that pays for medical treatment to expand. How do you explain that logic? "More money for us? Yes please!" Oh, it costs taxpayers more money? That sounds fine also. Medicaid is run at such a poor level and fraud is extensive and pervasive throughout. Maybe clean up medicaid and you would have money to spare and wouldn't need to expand the program at the expense of others.

Everyone should just get everything free, and throw in a box of cannoli's for good measure. Let's just "extend" everything to everyone, problem solved, besides, we all deserve it right?
