    FYI. Judge Bantam Team for the last three years - champions.

    Might have more to do with victory than "recruiting".

    By the way - Bryan Mone from Highland. On his way to Michigan. Judge Bantam 2010.

    @OneTime - enrollment is NOT the issue. Judge has a CITY population base of hundreds of thousands, if not more, to draw from. Rural schools have just their RURAL population. Why does Juan Diego play 3AA and Judge play 3A? In many states, private schools are a plus one - they play up one classification. Judge winning a State Championship in the 3A RURAL classification doesn't mean a whole lot. Isn't the 3A and 3AA classifications meant to address this issue? Once again, the UHSAA shows their incompetence.

    Congrats to Judge and Manti for makong the finals. Judge was the best team and deserves the title without being bashed. Manti will win titles this year in 2A and can expect the same backlash that Judge is getting now. But the players can only play the teams the scheduel puts infront of them. Good luck to both

    @Sherlock holmes

    Manti has won the last two 2A state football championships. This is Judge's first football championship in 30 years.

    @ Abitoutside and hooplah777

    Manti enrollment is 608 and Judge is 750. 3a is 500-999 so both schools are where they SHOULD be in football however Manti plays DOWN to 2A in all other sports while Judge play UP in 4A.

    The travesty in all this is that Manti or any other of the 3a teams could have won this except the Judge M got inserted in the rural school league. For many of these schools, it would probably have been their first or one of their few state championships. For Judge, its only another of many banners on the wall.

    congrats to judge for beating such good teams on the way state championship! ha! dont know how a team that competes in 4A for every other sport is in 3A and not even 3AA

    I hope UHSAA will soon learn the lesson that rural school will have a difficult time playing against urban and private schools with open enrollment and access to recruiting players. Manti and every other team in 3A football did a great job against a team that plays 4A in all other sports. Still trying to figure out how Judge ended up playing 3A football.

    Hey CTJ

    Maybe Judge played all 4 quarters like the champions they are and won the title.

    I hope Fowles can make a quick recovery. He is a great wrestler (2-time state champ)...

    Disagree CTJ. It might have been a better game in the second half with Fowles, but Judge dominated the line of scrimmage in the second half. I'm proud of my Templars but I think Judge was the best team in 3A this year. Congrats to them. Hopefully we can start a rivalry with them for years to come!

    Go Templars!

    Looks like an injury saved the game for Judge. If Manti's running back wouldn't have gotten hurt early in the second half Manti would be celebrating their third title in as many years. Well give them credit for taking advantage of it.
