@40cal As matter of fact I don't have a Pac12 sticker on my car. Unlike you byu fans I know our relevancy in being in a premier conference. But thanks for proving my point your jealousy is evident in your comment. Utahs offensive depth is just not there yet but it will be and I expect Utah to start competing by 2015. Now 40cal enjoy your game against isu I will really enjoy being in Eugene cheering on my Utes in a real college atmosphere.fans

    Ute miguel,
Would that be the same ESPN that airs most all of BYU games? I thought that utah fans didn't respect any programmer except the pac network that no one watches. Please tell me how utah is competing better this year!! 17 picks so far this year, 4th most in the country and 14 completions in the last four games. Is that what you were referring to?
I guess most football fans define success differently

Must suck to be a BYU fan you cant beat Utah so all you can do is make embarrassing comments on their articles. It just shows the true jealousy of all BYU that Utah is in the PAC 12 and you are sitting on the side lines. Oh by the way your 2014 schedule is supurb I bet you cant wait to watch the likes of conneticut, Virginia, Houston, USU, UCF, Nevada, Middle Tenn, Southern Miss, Savana St.,and Cal tough schedule. Utah is knocking on the door and their offense took a huge hit losing Murphy, Tonga, and Scott. Utah still does not have the depth but they are recruiting alot of talent who are still red shirting. Utah will be tough to beat next year.

@Big Sky Fan Why are you even commenting on a Ute article? You are a Big Sky Fan do they even play football in the Big Sky?

The PAC 12 deserves a refund on all of those wasted millions.

LoveTheUtsies, that's a pretty sweet deal for a handful of moral victories with 1 fluke - a bucket load of road losses - and likely consecutive bowl seasons spent at home.

That calls for a dip in the foaming ice --- bath at the new facility!

    According to ESPN:
"The Utes are MUCH better than their record indicates. Their 4-5 record is heavily influenced by having played the hardest schedule in the country...

Utah has high-quality wins against Stanford and BYU, and had close losses vs Oregon State, UCLA and Arizona State. Based on Championship Drive ranking (where Utah is 31st), the Utes would be the second-hardest opponent on Ohio State's or Baylor's schedule to date (behind Wisconsin and Oklahoma, respectively); they are only the fourth-hardest opponent on Stanford's schedule so far."

We don't need to panic. Utah is competing much better than last year. Next year will show an improvement in the record.

    $10.2 million was last years.
This year closer to $15.2 million.
That is in addition to the $2.2 million per home game.

the Utes offence is no better than a high school team. I feel sorry for the big D. but every one thinks the utes will lose to the ducks by 26 or more, I feel more like 10 or less,I hope that's true. they should win the last 2 games. win this one for the coach.

DE is mostly washed up and will not return next year. He didn't pan out as promised and it has little to do with the QB. Utah is in way over their heads in the pac and should move back to the MWC if they will have them or go independent and get to play power schools from other conferences like BYU does.
Back to topic; The 5-1 Ducks will not lay an egg and will be ready for the mighty 1-5 utes tomorrow. 55-10 in favor of the Ducks. Moral victories in the pac Utah 6-0 which will qualify them for the couch bowl.

Anyone else quite surprised by the offensive showing of Dennis Erickson's crew? At the start of the season we all "marked it down" that they were a 30 pt. per game offense. Frankly, I'm shocked.

And if it is such an excellent defense, why two touchdowns late in the game when it counts for the defense. Where are all the PAC-12 athletes that were beating down the door to come to Utah 4ish years ago? I'm not seeing it.

    Much ado about nothing.

    I doubt it.

Um, does it matter? They could put up 40 points and still lose.

We all know Oregon will hang at least 55 points up on the PAC 10.2 Utes.

So scoring more points is very irrelevant.

I'll give Utah props for a good defense, but somebody on the hill didn't get the memo that the PAC 10.2 is an offense conference.

Defense may win championships, but in the PAC 10.2 Offenses get to bowl games.

Hopefully the U can get to one. A bowl game that is.
