This would be no surprise to anyone who knows the history and growth of the medicaid program.
We were warn several years ago by the Heritage Foundation in Washington that if the growth of medicaid was check it could destroy our economy.
Some of the legislators who promoted this giant welfare program in still in office, one of them being a senator from Utah.
Medicaid is a monster that must be destroyed at the national level.

Universal Medicare to replace ObamaCare needs no new regulations or bureaucracies.
Institute 3% National Sales Tax (NST) with NO exceptions for resale, charity, non-profits, religious, education, or government. 3% NST may raise $7 Trillion annually, double the current budget, reduce national debt, spread tax burden to all residents, legal or not. Allocate 1st 1% for Budget, 1% Reduction of National Debt, 1% Universal MediCare for all legal residents.
Dedicate first 1% NST to Universal Medicare to automatically eliminate most State Medicaid benefit requirements, costs, and overhead. State Medicaid mandated costs are virtually eliminated, reducing State budget shortfalls and tax requirements.
According to a 7/6/10 analysis by attorney Lanny Davis published in The Hill, there were $755 Trillion in total transactions in the U.S. in 2008; $443 Trillion if exempting stock transactions. Accordingly NST on stock market transactions should be set at 1/2 of 1%, beating the International movement toward the inevitability of this type of tax. This 1/2% stock market transaction tax will inhibit the negative and controversial effects of High Frequency Trading (HFT) that causes artificial volatility.
Problem Solved, Medicaid saved All legal residents get same MediCare coverage.

Medicade. In other words government health care. Single payer government health care. In other words just what Obama has always said he wanted. Question. What do you suppose the unemployment rate in America will become when more and more private health care systems like Blue Cross, Kaiser, Aetna, ect. ect. ect. are put out of business and thousands who used to work for them are unemployed? Really great way to run a country. A socialist country that is. In other words, just what Obama wants. Nice vote people. Unless of course you want socialism in America. If you do, Obama is putting you well on the way.

You don't want to control anybody. But you do favor forcing Americans to purchase health insurance that may not be right for them. If they don't purchase health insurance, then you are in favor of forcing them to pay a penalty/tax, which is designed to punish them for not purchasing insurance. Eventually the fine/tax becomes great enough that people are forced to purchase the insurance that is available to them.

Because you support the ACA I assume that you are also in favor of manipulating the market and manipulating the health insurance products/options that are available for people to purchase. There are now hundreds of thousands of Americans that have lost their current health insurance plan because under Obamacare these plans are no longer "legal".

I don't understand how your position corresponds with your statement that you do not want to force anybody to do things. Please enlighten me.

I'm afraid Jared might be right. After all, "You never want a serious crisis to go to waste", as said by Rohm Emanuel and Hillary Clinton.

It will be interesting to see what Obama does with this serious crisis. Hold on! I'm afraid we ain't seen nothing yet!

Thanks Patriot! It is amazing to me that he fooled so many people and lied about it all the time.
I'm heartsick to think what has gone on and what 0bama said. It is interesting to watch the dems spin and spin and spin. How can anyone say it wasn't what he meant? There is no parsing of his words, straight out he lied. Some of the reports want to know who gave him false information and now it's coming out that he signed off on it and knew all along it wasn't the truth.
I guess it was too hard to try and prove he knew nothing, nothing about Benghazi, nothing about fast and furious, nothing about the IRS. One wonders what his job description covers.

people are going to buy the cheapest stuff out there.. unless of course you FORCE them to do otherwise...which will most certainly be coming from team Obama. Infamous quotes from Barack Obama concerning Obamacare...

"If you like your current insurance you can keep it" LIE
"If you like your doctor you can keep him" LIE
"If you want the generic ACME brand of insurance you can select it" LIE
"Most families will save $2500 per year" LIE
"The total cost won't exceed 900 billion" LIE (the cost is 3 times that and growing)
"Most insurance premiums will go down in price" LIE
"The web site will be simple to navigate and use" LIE Go try it for yourself!!!

This whole law was a LIE - 20000 pages of impossible to understand and even more improbable to fund and manage. Welcome to Americans nightmare courtesy of Barack Hussin Obama!!

"This was always about gaining more control instead of reducing healthcare costs." This is a proposition which in no way can be proved. I am a socialist, but I assure you I have no desire to control anybody - I am the complete opposite. We cannot know what is another person's heart.

This is exactly what Congress and the Administration want. Without changes we are marching towards a destabilization and collapse of the current health insurance and health care market. This leads to the "obvious" solution - more government intervention (universal health care).

Sounds like this is going to be a major disaster when the younger and healthier don't sign up the first year.
But the administration knew about this possibility and ignored it to pass their legislation. Then they lied about it for 3 years to keep people believing they were trying to help them.
This was always about gaining more control instead of reducing healthcare costs.
