I know what is coming in January. The budget of the Gov. has me concerned. Thanksgiving and Christmas this year I will only be able to give the gifts I cam keep. My smile, My heart and my word. I hope my presents will be appreciated.

I've been doing Black Friday Week for years - but only once have I gotten up to hit the stores at 5am. Mostly I do it online in my pajamas. There are websites that list all the ads weeks in advance, so you can find the best deals then. I keep a running list year round of gift ideas - the DVDs, books, clothes, electronics etc. I know what a good or great price is. I also run all of our regular purchases year round through a rewards Visa - and beginning of November I order gift cards for the stores most likely to have the best deals (usually Amazon). Most purchases I eventually get are 60-80% off, paid for with free gift cards, with free shipping and no sales tax. It might sound like a lot of work, but it really isn't. Nor all that much time - a minute here or there year round to keep a running list, a couple hours to go through the Black Friday websites, and a few minutes at a time as the deals pop on the websites from about the Tuesday before Thanksgiving through the week after.
