    2013 Ute Seniors SWEEP byU 4-0

    the reason why is because Houston is the home team and so is on espn news because that is who covers there home games !!!

    Houston is 5-0 but when your signature win comes against Rice, I don't think you've proven much. BYU will win.

    I have my fingers crossed with Utah. They can win as long as they don't help the Wildcats but giving them the ball back on turnovers. I suspect if Utah wins that battle, the score will be pretty close to what you predict.

    Utah State. The Aggies should win going away. If they don't, USU is in big trouble.

    @2013 Ute:

    It is pretty cool that this game is on any ESPN channel as you should realize the ESPN contract with BYU is for BYU HOME games not away games!

    @2013 Ute:

    "Utah has 4 ranked teams and will play this tough of a schedule every year."

    The Utes' schedule is a bit tougher this year than in previous seasons, but to say it will be like this every year is silly.

    In their first two seasons in the mighty PAC 12 the Utes played a total of 2 games against PAC 12 teams ranked in the top 25 at the end of the season. These things are cyclical.

    As for BYU, we'll have to wait until the end of the season to see where teams end up, but right now this doesn't look like BYU's toughest schedule ever. Just last season BYU played 5 teams that ended the season in the top 25, and actually beat one of them. (The Utes played 2 and lost them both)

    RE 2013 ute seniors:

    As a fellow Ute fan I must question why you're still trying to debate that Uah is better than BYU? That game was weeks ago and we won.. get over it. Your fixation with all things BYU is getting old.

    I am concerned with our game today and think it will be a close one but we will come out on top 27 - 28.

    I also think BYU wins today 30 - 17.

    Good luck to all Utah teams!

    Dick, great article. It would make a cool T shirt slogan for Bronco.

    Urgency Now!

    While the BYU band plays Foreigner's Urgent song at half time.

    @2013 Ute

    "It surprising that after reading about the national prestige both byu and Houston have ESPN decided not to put the game on ESPN, ESPN2, or even ESPNU.

    There are ten games on those networks Saturday but somehow these two national powers were relegated to ESPN News."

    Sometimes those in glass houses should pick better stones to throw! BYU vs. Houston is on a national network (ESPNews) at 1:30 pm MST. And Utah is on a regional network at 8:00 pm MST when they are playing another team in the same time zone? Of course I'm assuming Utah's game is on the PAC-12 network because I don't really know, haven't seen it reported anywhere.

    And more than a little specious to call this year the "hardest" BYU schedule ever (most BYU fans would disagree even before the season began when four foes were ranked in the top 25) and both teams "national powers". It is only Houston, like the Utes, that is receiving votes on the two major polls. And please note that I don't put Utah and Utes in lowercase, no for me to scrabble at attempted self-esteem by putting others down.

    Rankings can change throughout the season and there's no predicting who will or won't be ranked when a schedule is set years in advance. Schedules are set up based on reputation and history but some teams will over-perform while others under-perform. Congrat's! you got lucky this year but not as lucky as you were a few yrs. ago when the PAC got rejected by others.

    I think BYU does feel a sense of urgency, but in the past that hasn't always translated well into wins. I can't fault coaches and teams that almost always go to bowl games and win most of their games, at least half of the teams would love to do as well. But, in recent years it has seemed like BYU is a good team on the edge of greatness and just has not been able to get past that barrier of being just a good team. When BYU does lose it is almost always by a touchdown or less making it seem like BYU blew a good chance to win.

    It is a good year to step it up, go Cougars!
