Sound government financing does not require any negotiations, common sense and accountability are the only elements to consider. People and the economy don't need government spending, they need governemnt oversight and fairness in application of laws. The united states government has regulatory oversight so all states and local governments work together in applying the Constitution and our rights as americans.

The federal and state governemnt has gone overboard on its socialistic provisional spending on non essential government. Private needs of citiznes are not what this government is about. Obama is a socialist and one man who thinks he has absolute government power and his arrogance has destroyed this economy of free enterprise and prosperity.

We should impeach Obama and his administration so we can put us back toge there as a nation of one with borders without foreign occupation. The economy will fix itself if we stop relying on federal spending.

dabakis is wrong. Taxes do NOT "have to be raised". All that HAS to happen is that spending has to be cut. Raising taxes will not necessarily cut the deficit and lower the debt but cutting spending WILL cut the deficit and it WILL lower the debt. That is simple indisputable math.

What debakis, and the vast majority of dems, want is for social programs to continue on as is at minimum and in their perfect world they will increase. Their claim is that raising taxes will cut the deficit and debt yet they do not want to cut any spending, it is an absolutely ridiculous position and a completely untenable one to take.

Now the republicans are only vaguely better, they want to cut taxes, a good thing to be sure, but they never cut any spending, they just spend away as well. They give cuts lip service, but the fact is it never happens.

When is the last time government spending was actually cut? Even if some smal thing is cut everything else goes up so there is always a net increase.

I have no faith in either to get it done, the dems are worse though.
