Great story and offers some interesting subjects to comment on.

Home schooled, and entered junior college at 15. Might have missed out on the social life but obviously matured and was able to function as an adult as a teen. Is there a message for public schools? They move everyone along convoy style dumbing down the curriculum to be sure to graduate everyone. Remember "Jay Walking" contestants on the Tonight Show?

The article mentioned an unemployed journalism/art history graduate. Unrealistic college majors that have no future in the employment market place, funded on borrowed money will do that to you. You can study anything you want but it seems not every one is hiring some majors. Unplug the music machine and look before you invest 4-5 years and thousands of borrowed dollars that must be paid back.

Cosmetology does not have a high earning curve but this young lady has mastered the art of self-denial, long term vision, and goals coupled with a work ethic. I think she'll succeed at what ever she sets her mind to do.

    Well done.

I wonder when this nation will abandon fractional reserve lending and finally learn that all money is debt. It is great this lady is debt free but we as a nation can never be debt free as a whole, either individually or publicly. In order for us to be debt free we need to change our monetary system.
