    Not just a no. Don''t count on it. The aggies are incapable of ignoring me. You give me no reason to change it. Give me a good reason and I'll consider it.

    I'll take that as a no, Stang.

    Fair enough, you keep doing what you've gotta do. I'm probably gonna start ignoring you, though, because I don't think it makes much sense for me to engage someone who refuses to change their excruciatingly negative opinions.

    It's hard to tell the difference when it comes to the aggies Mars. All of you are the same. Unless you gradated from MC between 06-09 no aggie knows who I am.

    The difference between nationally prominent and just really solid: 1, 2, 3, 4 and 3. Amazing stat.

    You're not being rational in the way you perceive Aggie fans' opinion and expectations.

    To wit, few Aggies thought we would go undefeated. Many Aggies talked excitedly about the opportunity. Subtle but distinct difference.

    You do this all the time, you pick out Aggie fan opinion and examples where it suits your pre-conceived notion of what Aggie fans are like. You say you have been treated horribly at the hands of Aggie fans but most Aggie fans haven't even met you and don't even know who you are.

    Why not get start over and let go of some your frustration with USU? Come to the BYU game and sit with me and my family. I'll buy you a coke and we can get things fixed. I'll be sporting a mohawk, hipster looking glasses that are black, and an Aggie polo with a bull embroidered on it. I'll be sitting in the south endzone, off to the left (West) and midway up. I'll keep an eye out for you.

    9 wins is doable.

    I think 8 is more likely.

    @SJSU - Likely win
    BYU - Toss up
    Boise State - Toss up
    @UNM - Win
    Hawaii - Win
    @UNLV - Win
    CSU - Win
    Wyo - Toss up

    Take 2/3 toss ups and we're looking at 9 total wins. Take 1/3 and we're looking at 8 total wins.

    Wyo looks great so far, but they've played a softer schedule than we have. BYU tipped their playbook hand in the Texas game, and we're solid against the run. I can't figure Boise State out - do they stink or are they still a strong team?

    What I really want from this point on is a win over BYU for in-state respect and a MWC championship. Let's go, Aggies! :D

    DesNews should do an article on the close wins from 2011. That would be fun. Those are some great memories for me from an otherwise inconsistent and frustrating 2011 season. The grit and toughness and the refusal to give up after a 2-5 start that year is what made me into a true blue Aggie fan!!

    Moving on, though. I didn't buy into the kool-aid of going undefeated this year. Not realistic with a new head coach (albeit hired from within). But I think 9+ wins is certainly doable. I would be thrilled with that.

    @Chris A

    Read some comments over buddy. They all think like that. Or at least make it appear as though they think it.

    We are talking about this year. And this year your aggies lost to a better Utah and USC team. How have I not been rational? You said your team would be the best in the state and win almost every game and I said they wouldn't. So far who is right? No back tracking tinplater I need to know who is right and who is wrong? So far you are batting 500 when all the preseason talk said you would be undefeated.

    Still a BYU, USU and SUU fan. Just being a little realistic. Excited to see USU do well the last few years after so many years of sub-par performance, but they still have a bit to go before they can seriously be talked about as national champions. Their defense was great last week, but the offense still needs some work. Kind of like the Y this year, except for the degree of work needed on the offense. Best wishes to all three of my alma maters, and even to that place on the hill that had the gall to beat both USU and BYU! :)

    Stango is incapable of rational thought when it comes to USU. As for Chris B.s gloating about "second best in the state" who did he pick last year when Utah lost to USU? Think about it...USU, with its current team could easily be just as competitive (or non competitive) as Utah in the Pac 12. If you give three points for home field advantage, the Ags and Utes have been just about even the past two seasons. Interesting to see how Utah fares against USC when they meet in the coliseum. I'm asking Christ B to "mark it down"?

    @Mike Johnson

    Only time will tell if SUU will beat Weber. That's the beuty of a real rivalry.

    You and I FINALLY agree on something

    That's the fun thing about these articles anyone can come on here and state their opinion on how bad a season it's been so far for the aggies.

    It sounds like Doug Robinson has been listening to Bronco Mendenhall.

    I really wonder if Chris B and Stang are just BYU fans posing to make Ute's fans look bad.

    This article points out some very good points but fails to mention some of the close games USU has won. From 2011: Hawaii, San Jose State, Idaho, Nevada, and New Mexico State. All wins of a touchdown or less. From 2012: Utah and Louisiana Tech. Both of which were by a touchdown. Since 2011 and up to this point in the 2013 season the Aggies have had 7 wins and 9 losses of less than a touchdown.

    You always have the dumbest comments. I feel my IQ drop every time I read your posts. No USU fan thinks that USU should be national champions.

    There are a lot of teams that would be close to, if not, undefeated, if only they had avoided some miscues along the way. What is great is that USU has joined such a discussion.

    As for my fellow Ute fan who posted first here, there is no WAC championship to be won. USU does have a decent chance to be in the top 3 in their first year in the Mountain West. I hope they can establish themselves as a perennial contender in that conference. As for BYU, they have no championship to play for.

    It is too bad that Southern Utah doesn't get its shot to be the 2nd best team in the state. I have a feeling they won't defeat Weber State on 9 November as badly as Utah and Utah State did, but they look to be one of the early contenders in the Big Sky.

    I disagree with the premise of the article. It's like saying, if BYU didn't have such a bad passing record this season, they could be national champions.

    Sorry, but preventing turnovers and making field goals is an essential part of the game. As WW II veterans used to say, close only counts in hand grenades and horse shoes.

    An article like this just brings out the trolls, it really doesn't say anything positive. These losses hurt bad enought without inviting the trolls to gloat over it.

    Close doesn't count for a lot of Aggie fans. Doesn't count for me. Losing to USC sucked.

    Ask the fan's. They believe USU should be the national champions anyway. After all, according to them USU is the best team to ever play the game. Even though they couldn't beat Utah and more importantly USC. Or Wisc the year before, Auburn, Texas A&M. You get my point.

    Don't worry, you guys still have your rivalry game with byu to determine the second best program in the state.

    They should really name that game something along those lines, as it will be the yearly fight to determine the second best team

    And the winner will have a leg up for the WAC championship
