"No doubt Chris wanted to be near his mom, but if you're going to
transfer back you should suffer the penalty of losing a year of eligibility and
sitting out."Badger didn't play last season.He
already sat out a year.
UgottaloveMaxie - Maybe the answer is to allow athletes to transfer at will like
Chris B - buddy, this is a sign. You just can't make up coincidences like
this one. Enjoy the attention. :)
NightOwlAmerica - it's Christensen. I know the guy.
UgottaloveMaxie,Why make the student-athletes suffer? They did take
a considerable amount of time investigating this.
Of course you liked Worf's comment, Chris. Any attention is good attention
as far as you at concerned.
You mean, the NCAA actually made a ruling respecting the spirit of the law
rather than the letter?I think they talk about this kind of thing in
the Book of Revelation, right? Signs of the Apocalypse?
If this doesn't undermine the NCAA transfer rules I don't know what
does. It's nice he gets to be by his sick mom, but how many athletes have
sick parents, those with cancer, dying grandmas (that raised the player). No
doubt Chris wanted to be near his mom, but if you're going to transfer back
you should suffer the penalty of losing a year of eligibility and sitting out.
Worf,Even I liked that one.
Chrissy:"I would assume a third string guy at Notre Dame would be
starting at byu. My guess it that will be the case very soon."How's that Utah secondary looking lately? Yeah, Badger would be starting
for the PAC cellar dwellers too...heaven knows they could use him. Don't
look now but your jealousy is showing...again.
Can Chris B play corner?
Good to have Chris B aboard. Maybe now he will stay off the comment boards and
do something productive. Best of luck to Chris B. go out there and get a pick
for us against Utah.
Wow! Chris B is playing safety for BYU?
I'm not sure how much this helps BYU with anything more than depth. Of
course depth is a very nice thing to have but BYU's current 2 starting
safeties are studs so it isn't like he is going to replace either of them.
From what I understand Reilly is an excellent safety as well. But we
can certainly use another highly heralded safety recruit and you can never have
to much depth so welcome aboard Chris and congratulations on coming home.
With Badger eligible and Hague and Reilly back this week, my fears about depth
at DB are gone.We have a couple of nice prospects to fill in for
Sorenson next season. And with Trammell and Johnson back next year,
we'll be loaded at corner also.Very happy the NCAA made Badger
My guess is that his appeal has been before the NCAA for months and they're
just now getting around to it 3 weeks into the season. But of course they turned
on a dime for Texas A&M and Johnny Autograph.
Chrissy newname,Bowl game. How quaint. BYU went to a New
Year's bowl ages ago. Let us know when your team gets a National
Championship. Or even a bowl game again.
Christopher BOgden, UTIt must be amazing playing in a BCS bowl. Chris Badger knows what its like.Actually he doesn't,
he redshirt and never played a down last year, he is still considered a
Welcome to the team, and I hope that the family situation that brought you home
works out for the best.
I was waiting for an update about this guy and glad to know his appeal to the
NCAA was successful. He should be able to immediately contribute to our injured
But will he see the field THIS WEEK?
It must be amazing playing in a BCS bowl. Chris Badger knows what
its like.So do the last EIGHT graduating classes at Utah.
It would be nice if the DN spelled your name correctly Chris; afterall, you are
a local product.Anyway, looking forward to you adding some much
needed depth to BYU's DB corp.
Just in time! Quick, bring back Detmer, Collie, Todd Christiansen and more! Make
them immediately eligible to play this weekend!
I dont know if many have seen him play. his high school highlight film on
youtube is pretty sweet. this kids a hitter. I have no idea how fast he is but
he'll put you on your back if you get in front of him. I pray he has
I would assume a third string guy at Notre Dame would be starting at byu. My
guess it that will be the case very soon.
It's a good thing he beat some of his rivals while at Notre Dame. His
current teammates are probably very interested to hear his perspective about
what it feels like to beat their rival. His current teammates don't know.
Welcome aboard Chris!I understand that you've been working out
with the scout team since school began. After all of the injuries, it'll be
nice to have a little more added depth in BYU's defensive backfield.Go Cougars? #beatUtah
