    @ rhinoceros - The convention you speak of was a comic book covention, but it wasn't s "ComicCon" of this nature. Just like CONduit was a Sci-Fi Fantasy and Comic's convention. Same with the "Life, The Universe and Everything" convention held in Orem/Prove for some time. ComicCon is more of a pop culture and comics convention. It's unique. Especially given the number of people and the quality of the talent they had attend. 70,000 to 80,000 just Saturday alone. That's Art's Festival numbers.

    Thank you for the coverage, but this was not the first ComiCon held in SLC at the Salt Palace Convention Center. The first was in 1991, organized by Matt Alexander of Captain Salamander's Atomic Comics (Provo) and Kelly Moyes of Dr. Volt's Comic Connection (SLC).
