High school football: Britain Covey helps lead Timpview to comeback win over Alta

    One of my pet peeves is sportwriters' abuse of the phrase 'unanswered points'. There is a difference between 38 consecutive points and 38 unanswered points, the latter implying that in this case Alta did not score again in the broadest sense or that even the last score of the 38 point run was 'unanswered' in the most narrow sense.

    Not picking on this writer in particular; it is a common (mal)practice.

    There is no shame in losing to Timpview. Just about everyone has felt the might of that schools legendary program at some point. They are considered one of the most successful programs in the state for a reason. Alta is still going to go far this year in 5A, but Timpview was just better.

    I'm looking forward to Timpview vs Springville this year. The game they had a few years back that broke Timpview's winning streak was one of the most incredible football games I have seen in my life. 4A has some solid talent across the whole division this year. Should make for some great football.
