As far as BYU trollers go, Worf apparently has gone back into the Neutral Zone.

Well it looks like I was wrong, you apparently dont know whats up, thats why you have returned. Since you claim that you dont come around often, you must not know that all DNews articles about the Utes have been flooded by Y trolls. Often I would come by to comment on the story only to see that only Chris B and about 7 or 8 Y trolls were predicting losses to State and 3-9 seasons for Utah.
You see BYU isnt under our skins, but Y trolls like you get old quick. Y fans are just as obnoxious and self righteous as ever, you're proof of that. How self righteous of you to come onto a Utah story and claim we are obsessed with you. How quickly you forget that while Utah beat team who will finished ranked, the Y lost to one of the worst teams in the ACC. So much for your fellow fans predictions of having a high powered offense. Congratulations on cheering for that mess of a program.

Since you seem to be the "IF" guru, please tell us IF Roscoe was pleased with 93 offensive plays that went nowhere.

    "Whittingham pleased with team's tempo"

I wonder how "pleased" Kyle would have been if his on-side kick had failed and the Utes had lost the game?

BYU was mentioned in the article. Who do you think Whit was talking about when he commented that of the 10 teams that ran 88+ plays last week, 8 lost?

That's his point-- "Go Fast, Go Nowhere" is overrated.

nah, I have no problem sticking by what I say. I'm sure there are a few Y trolls out there who are quiet this week, but I still think it's hilarious how you people can't even make a comment on a Ute article without bringing up BYU. I thought you had moved on, are superior to us in every way, yet you can't even comment on an article exclusively about Utah without 70% of you mentioning a team you supposedly don't care about. Like I said in my initial post, I don't hang around here often, and I rarely comment, but the obsession with BYU today was too good to pass up. Win or lose, the Y will always be under your skin...and I love it!

Thank you for the kind words!

I have a strong feeling we will fair well against the Y this year. But after seeing how the U's offense played and how I know there defense can adjust (I saw a ton of Y fans bashing on you guys after the game cause we did well on Offense...so that means your Defense sucks....UM NO...Aggies Offense is really that good) If I was a Y fan I would probably just sale my ticket to a U fan! Cause I really only see that Giant QB of Utahs getting better and better each game! Big and athletic....!!! And your D will be IMO much much better then last year...gosh your whole team will be!!!

    Go Aggies!
    Go Utes!

Congratulations to your Aggies. They are certainly a better team than I ever gave them credit for. Chucky is the best offensive player in the state of Utah. Your team should do great through the rest of the year. I will be rooting for you in all of your future games, but especially USC and byU. byU has to be worried about their game with you because Chucky is much better this year than he was last year. He will tear them up, especially the secondary.

I too find it funny that there was even any mention about being the third highest team in the nation with number of plays in one game. I guess some people have to find anything to brag about. I just read a comment on another site about byU's SOS being 49th in the country. Some byU fan actually responded that it was a great schedule because their SOS was second best among all independent schools. Talk about a stretch!

Here's to a great football season!

    Go Utes!
    Go Ags!

You should have been here last week before Utah beat USU and byU stunk it up at lowly Virginia, there were more trolls on the Utah stories than in all of Grimm's fairy tales. You conveniently skip over to a Utah story AFTER all of the the byU "fans" are too embarrassed to show their faces after the bold predictions of byU domination and of Utah annihilation. Try checking back on some prior stories and look for the infamous Duckhunter, or BigCougFan or Tators or mussingaround or Y's little brother or midpacmajor or Cool Cat Cosmo or Snack Pac or worf or ........

Hey, but thanks for coming on a Utah story and giving us your love and support when the vast majority of the other byU "fans" are too embarrassed to do so. We truly appreciate it!!

    Go Utes! Onward and Upward!!

First of all, most Utah fans hang out the Trib's website, and second of all, if you don't think that BYU fans troll Utah articles you'd have to be delirious. If I have to read one more 3-9 prediction for Utah's season, I may explode. That's especially ridiculous since the Utes will probably win more than that before they even register a loss.

Nice try Dave. The truth is that the usual BYU posters have nothing to talk about this week. That and the fact that they know they predicted far different outcomes to week one than what actually occurred. In other words, your fellow fans just aren't too into the partaking of humble pie.

not normally on this side of the board because I don't follow the Utes as closely as you follow BYU. I was mostly curious to see if a random article about Utah would generate as many comments as an article about BYU (it doesn't, not even close). However, I had to comment because most of you refer to BYU, even though this article doesn't once directly mention the Cougars. On top of that, with the exception of myself who hasn't commented on a Ute article in months, and Christopher B who is likely a Cougar fan fed up with incessant ChrisB comments on the BYU boards, there isn't a single Cougar fan or troll commenting all over your articles. Maybe a few have gone silent because of the outcome of Saturday's games, but from past experience, I doubt that's totally the case. The reason Ute fans can't stand BYU is that you're obsessed with us, and honestly, we don't really think about you all that often unless you're in our face all the time. Yet, this is somehow perceived as arrogance on our part. You guys make me laugh!

Big Aggie Fan here! Good job Ute's. As always I think a lot of people are down playing just how good USU is this year. I think you guys really beat a good team. Great improvement this year for sure and I wish you guys the best of luck.

To Y fans that are trying to attack the U...for only beating us by 4....really....so like usual you are ragging on the Aggies. A team you barely squeek by every year! Nice!

You were the 3rd place team in the nation with offensive plays I believe and you did nothing...who cares if you run 1k + offensive plays a game...if you still only score 1 td.....so basically almost every single team in the nation has a better PTS per Offensive plays then you guys!

    Go Aggies!
    Go Utes!

What else could any team do?

Not give up silly turnovers and blocked punts.

    "Go fast. Fall Hard"

Don't understand it. BYU set a goal to run a play every "x" seconds and did it! Only two teams ran more plays. In addition BYU did something no other team has done this century. Hold an opponent to more than 13 punts and lose the game. Is there more? What else could any team do?

Heres another good one from Coach Whitt,

    Kyle Whittingham @UtahCoachWhitt
Here I am @espn700bill. It took a while, but isn't it really more about executing the tweets than the tempo of the tweets? #goutes

Where have all the trolls gone? That was one seriously amazing disappearing act! But, no magic show is complete without them reappearing, after they beat a few of the patsies on their schedule I'm sure they'll be back.

Utah is guaranteed a 4-0 start.

byu is guaranteed an 0-3 start.

Utah State is the second or third best team in the WAC 2.0

    GO UTES!

We will be ranked in 2 more weeks, Mark it Down

Your post made my day! Coach whittingham is a stud! If all your doing is going nowhere fast, you tire your own defense out faster than the opposing defense.

"I think tempo is overrated. I hear so much about tempo it’s starting to be a little irritating. If my information is correct, there was 10 teams in Division I football that snapped it 88 times or more this past weekend and seven of those teams lost."

So true. It's not the quantity, it's the quality. For example:

"Virginia became the first college football team in this century to punt 13 times in a game and still win."
