    Very interesting story. I've done a lot of traveling within the U.S. and abroad, but never as a family. In fact, the idea of all that would be required to shepherd a family from one country/culture to another is overwhelming and something for which great admiration is due.

    However, one aspect of the story was glaringly absent. It would have been very interesting to know what profession he/she had that would require such extensive travel. I'm assuming something having to do with the diplomatic service, but it could also have been almost any large international corporation (IBM, Exxon, GM, ???).

    If anyone knows what these parents did that required such extensive travel, I'd love to know too.
