"What are all these trollers going to say after Thursday's game?"

    Told you so!

What are all these trollers going to say after Thursday's game? My prediction: It will be verrrrrrrry quiet in here. Mark it down.

It's going to be a blow out.

Rivalry? If we can't beat Utah State by 20+ points this year then we might be in for a LOOOONG season. Considering the USU game is the 8th toughest game on our schedule:

    1. @Oregon
    2. Stanford
    3. @USC
    4. @UofA
    5. ASU
    6. UCLA
    7. Oregon State
    8. USU
    9. @WSU (Struggled at WSU in 2011)
    10. @BYU (Remember 54-10)
    11. Colorado
    12. Weber State

    It's a rivalry this year.

Bring it on, Utes. We're ready.

    The Aggies.

Nice spin there. The Aggies straight-up KNOCKED Utah's QB out of the game. No confusion at all.

Duckhunter is right. The state is on the hook for the bonds if the Utes default.

It's a good thing that Utah students are chipping in student fees to help pay for a cushy place for Utah football players to spend bowl week.

So even the article says it. For years this wasn't a rivalry. Utah has won all but one game against the aggies. That one game was a fluke because Utah was confused at the QB position. I can't believe even the article said this wasn't a rivalry.

You are assuming that the Duck makes enough money to pay taxes. I am betting he is one of the 47% of Americans that do not.

I'm nervous for this game. On paper, I think the Aggies are better, but anything can happen in a rivalry game, especially in the other guy's house. I'm pretty sure it will be a close, hard-fought game, and tons of fun. Here's hoping for a repeat performance by the Aggies!

Tax payer bonds, again? The only tax payer that is crying is you. Feel free to put your real address the Ute Nation will reimburse you your 2 cents.

Better yet we'll pick up the costs for Tulsa this year.

Just win 2 GAMEs in the Pac 10 and it will be an improvement over last year

Here's a BYU fan who cannot wait for the Utes to get the smackdown AT HOME.

Chris B can eat crow all season long...AGAIN!

Go Aggies! Teach those upstarts on the hill some humility. And as for Utah State and BYU's upcoming game...I think BYU will have a tough time getting the win.

Either way, as long as BYU or Utah State beats the Utes, I'll be happy. May the best team win!

    @The A game

Just move into a trailer park for a few years then go ahead and take out a loan (bonds) that you can have the tax payers of the state secure and you can have a multi million dollar barber shop to.

Vegas' confidence for the Utes is fading. The line for Utah is slipping down to only a 2 point favorite at home against a lowly MWC team. So much for the mighty pac prestige.

I honestly think it will be a tight game that is up for grabs. For the Ute fans that think it will be a blow out I'm afraid you are still living in the past.

It will be a great game.

15 years, 10 years, even 5 years... is HISTORY

byu is not the same team as 5 years ago
utah is not the same team as 5 years ago
USU is not the same team as 5 years ago.

USU beat utah last year, and it was great. Was it the utah of history? NO.

We are not trying to take away utah history.

We just beat you last year and we think we can do it again.

Was utah our best win last year? Heck NO... we beat better and higher ranked teams than you.

I think what utah fans are most mad about is that THEIR media market is now talking about USU.

utah fans, just cheer for us except when you play USU, we cheer for you all but 1 game a year.

I wish USU had the money to build a football facility with a barber shop like Utah. Then the football program would be legit. Better hair = better players.

I see that my little sister has been busy throwing another one of her clueless rants. The truth is BYU and USU are now better than we are and the only thing we can possibly hope to win this season is the war of words.

I spewed milk all over my keyboard with this little ditty:

"A WAC championship is hardly worth bragging about."

Seriously, a team that only won TWO WAC championships in THIRTY-SEVEN years in the conference mocking the value of a WAC championship. LOL!

Frankly, we should empty our hall of fame closet of all of our leather helmet era conference championship trophies. It's embarrassing claiming a "championship" after only beating Wyoming, Colorado College, Denver, and Colorado State.

Despite your frantic and emotional spamming, the Utes are still BYU's little brother when in it comes to NATIONAL accomplishments.

    National Championships
    BYU 1
    Utah none

    Heisman Trophies
    BYU 1
    Utah none

    AP Top 25 Finishes
    BYU 17
    Utah 5
(at their current rate, it'll take the Utes a century and a half to match BYU's 17)

    National Individual Awards
    BYU 15
    Utah none
(BYU players have won awards for best player, best quarterback, best passer, best running back, best lineman; Utah player have never won an award for best anything)

    National Hall of Fame Players
    BYU 6
    Utah none

    USU 24
    Utah 17

    BYU 31
    Utah 14

aggies will dominate the lowly team from salt lake, better athletes, better fans, better coaching, as for the money -----who cares you are still a bottom feeder, you should change your name to the carps-----GO AGGIES!

Aggies are now 1-15 the last 16 years against Utah and they think they have something to brag about?

Try going undefeated and having a top 5 finish and THAT will be something to brag about.

A WAC championship is hardly worth bragging about.

Utah is a better program. We have better athletes. Better coaches, better(more money), better facilities.

We're just better than you. And we'll remind you of that Thursday.

    Go Utes!

  • ChristoperB Salt Lake, UT
    Aug. 26, 2013 10:59 a.m.

Utah will complete the second 4-0 SWEEP in the last 15 years over byu.

Do you know how far back you have to go to get the last 2 4-0 winning streaks for byu over Utah?

TWO 4-0 winning streaks in the last 15 years shows how one sided this "rivalry" game has become.

    We are better.

Head to head recruits have picked Utah more often every year the last several years.

I don't know a better indication of what formerly "solid byu families" now think of byu than that.

More kids that byu relied upon as givens in their football program are usually picking Utah these days.

If byu can't get the best Mormon kids, who CAN they get?

  • ChristoperB Salt Lake, UT
    Aug. 26, 2013 10:55 a.m.

Utah is clearly the premier program in the state.

We have the only undefeated seasons in the last several decades. We have the only top 5 finishes in recent history. We have the only BCS games. The only BCS wins. The only power conference invitation.

We also have dominated the results on the field lately.

Utah will go 8-4 and be in contention for the Rose Bowl, with all 4 losses coming against power conference teams.

    Utah 30
    usu 17

    Utah 30
    byu 14
