Im surprised to see how many folks have HUGE mortgage balances and think nothing of it. It sort of reminds me of when cars went form costing 12-18k as the norm to now seeing SUV's and trucks in the 50k range. People keep buying the SUV's and trucks even though their payments are north of 600 or 700 a month. House payments near or over 2k a month are the norm now even though wages are still pretty much the same over the past 10 years. I see so many young couples in their late 20's thinking that they need to build a new house instead of finding an older affordable one...just because everyone is doing it and they somehow think it will make them happy.Giant debt is not happy.
