Rep. Snow should stay.
Snow should GO!
Snow should step down. Regardless of the outcome of the investigation there
will be partisans looking for reasons to discredit the results. Even the
appearance of a possible conflict of interest will give someone such a reason
Since this is Utah's first start in the impeachment process as an
investigation, mistakes may happen. However, Representative Snow he had a
relationship with the Jeremy Johnson case with all the news and finger pointing
going on. It appears this was not brought up to Speaker Lockhart by Snow nor
even the lawyer or spokesperson for John Swallow. This would appear
to be a conflict of interest similar to what John Swallow had in working with
Jeremy Johnson and having Johnson pay some of the fees for lobbying the AG

later that Snow was deeper involved, the Democrats would have a hay day with
that information and spread it open as a wound. They would even have the right
to pour salt into it as the Republicans could set this right. Speaker Lockhart
would have expected that Snow would have come up with this potential conflict on
his own as he has had since February 2013 to know that there was a rabbit-trail
to John Swallow through Jeremy Johnson, especially with the FTC case. Attorneys
are supposed to have ethics for themselves and as Representatives swear they do.
If Snow or his firm did legal work for Johnson or the other Johnson (FTC)
defendants, he should step down. The inability to recognize conflicts and bias
is a reason lawyers typically resign from a case. themselves when there is even
the appearance of impropriety. If Snow stays on his acts can reasonably be
I think Snow should voluntarily step down as committee chairman. A true conflict
of interest for a good man, John Swallow!
