Hey, Esquire, try opening your eyes, my friend.

    America needs you.

Actually YOU are the one who needs to open your eyes. Your comment at 9:56 was purest fiction, and it saddens me that people sand in like to praise Romney and don't see the truth about him. Romney wasn't cheated in any way in the election an I am grateful that enough people saw through the smoke and mirrors Romney tried to use to disguise what he really is that they voted for the best interest of the US and whipped Romney's butt. Bad as Obama may be , and I have little or no use for a lot of the things he does, Romney would have been infinitely worse.

Please -- open your eyes and see the truth.

Romney governed MA as a moderate republican and tried to run for President as tea party republican. It obviously did not work. I am tired of republicans blaming the election loss on the media, voter fraud, and Obama promising free stuff. It is obvious many voters view Republicans as the anti-Obama party. It is time for a change in party leadership. McConnell is a dinosaur and needs to go. Time for the house of representatives to pass immigration reform. That would be a step in the right direction. I am concerned for the future of the Republican party. Enough of the blame game. Time to demonstrate real leadership.

If Romney really wants good PR he would be building schools in Mexico where his family has roots, and Africa where such schools are sorely needed as in many nations there is only space for 1/4 to attend high school. This would have the added advantage of appealing to both Latino and African American voters. He could have spent a small fraction of his advertising budget in such a cause, and received in return much, much better coverage and PR than his advertising campaigns.

Romney gives alot, especially compared to Joe Biden who gives practically nothing. "Biden, can you spare a dime?" However, by starting high schools or universities, he would be able to get PR shots that would have helped swing the debate. Nobody really cares how much he gives to Weber St. But, there would be alot of press there to photograph him digging the first dirt to build a university in Mexico or Africa.

My son's elementary school held an "African Drumming Night" and raised $5000 for a high school in Kenya. With that, I think we just donated more to African education than the entire Romney clan.

@ Guy With A Brain, my eyes are quite open, and I'm not in some delusional state where I'm obsessed with mindless conspiracy theories. I gets tiresome to see how some can't move forward. The election is over and maybe folks need to start thinking about 2016 instead of tearing down the duly elected leader of the country.

Really? Mittens, Barry, the Bushes, & Bill C all have one thing in common. It is that "trait" that is repsonsible for America's decline. Care to guess?

    To DN

I don't understand your fixation on Mitt Romney, a private citizen who is doing no good for our country and holds no public position. It is a waste of time and media space to write a story every time he breaks a fingernail. Wouldn't it be better to focus on a Mormon who actually holds political office and who wins elections like Harry Reid? Yet for every story about Harry Reid, there are 100 stories about Mitt Romney. I just don't understand it. Mitt's political career is essentially over. If you want to look forward, you should perhaps focus on the next generation of Romney's (Tag or Bib or Bop) rather than the Romney who will never be president.

To Guy with Brain et al
You seem to be caught in a right wing radio fantasy feedback loop. Let's examine reality for a moment. Consumer sentiment is up. Unemployment is down. Financial markets are at an all-time high. Homes are being built again. We are spending less money on foreign wars. Things are not perfect, but if you believe they are worse please provide objective data to support your claims.

Wait, you were just talking about Obama taking others money and giving it to his buddies.. This article was about Romney.

    @A Guy with a Brain
Obamaphone? That program was started under a Republican administration. Besides, Romney promised you tax cuts and somehow a balanced budget without requiring any real sacrifice on your part since he said he'd protect entitlements too.

"It is to bad that our first Black President has turned out to just want what he wants and does not care about this Country. "

As opposed to the Tea Party which fundamentally refuses to compromise on anything and the Republicans who have set new records for filibusters?

Mitt Romney is a good man and would have made a great president. His influence for good is still being felt. I love to read articles about Mitt and his great family. They are definitely role models for the family in these troubled times.

@ A Guy With A Brain, Obama hasn't done nothing to help this country because the congressional Republicans won't let him. If Romney had been elected, he wouldn't have been able to help this country either because of congressional Democrats. Romney lost the election because unlike Obama, he was not in tune with the minorities. There was no malfeasants going on. Romney bet on the white vote to get him in and found out otherwise, plus he made some political career ending remarks during his campaign. Even in Utah, I am seeing more and more people, including Mormon Republicans that are tired of hearing about Romney. He is old news and hopefully will ride into the sunset with his damaged political aspirations...

To me, Romney seems past his political prime.

Putting that aside, in the USA, we have `musical pols', making the word
'representative' mean 'unrepresentative'. By definition, democracy can't
be delegated Switzerland gets democracy right. Its government isn't
    public enemy #1.

If he needs a job, why doesn't he go on a mission? Spreading the Gospel is really the only way to change society, not politics.

The difference between Mitt Romney and Obama can be summed up easily. Romney wanted to be elected to serve this once great nation. Obama wanted to be elected to rule and "fundamentally change" this once great nation into a European socialist empire. Unfortunately, he has succeeded and America is no longer a great nation.

Mitt would have been a wonderful President. He loves this country and wants what is best for it. It is to bad that the mainstream media took sides with Obama. Now we are in so much trouble it is becoming very frightening. It is to bad that our first Black President has turned out to just want what he wants and does not care about this Country. I would much rather see Jimmy Carter in there right now than Obama and that is not saying much. Oh how I wished that Mitt would run again for office. Our Country could really use him right now.

Obama supporters and apologists will warmly remember that glorious eve of the election when their beloved Obama beat Romney.

Since then it has been all downhill for Obama. Nothing to celebrate, nothing to be proud of.

It would be interesting if the election were to be a do-over. In my opinion Romney would win in a landslide.

But wishes won't get us Romney. We are stuck where we are until the next campaign.

    Who cares about Romney?

    I do.

    So do millions of others.

He didn't get his "butt whipped". He got cheated out of winning.

Cheated by the liberal mainstream media who was in Obama's pocket from the very beginning.

Cheated by the liberal mainstream media who absolutely REFUSED to portray Romney accurately. (The 'dreaded' "47%" comment? Phhhht! Puh-leeeease....)

Cheated by guy in the White House who essentially bribed the lazy and perpetually uninformed among us to vote for him. Want an Obamaphone, anyone?

Would Romney have been a perfect President.

    Absolutely not.

However, Romney on his WORST day would be light years ahead of Obama on even his best day.

Oh, America, I weep for you....
