If you can't afford it, don't have a baby. Simple!

The more unwed mothers, the more benefits they qualify for, and taxes rise.

you are a racist if you even think that blacks have a high out of wedlock birth rate...just ask Al Sharpton and the Rev Jesse Jackson. Forget the facts - just as we did when we got Barack.

Out of wedlock births (for any race) almost always doom the mother and child to lives of poverty, low educational achievement, crime, dependency and often drug addiction.

That can be blamed on no one but the man and woman who have unprotected sex and fail to accept the consequences of their bad choices. In many cases, their moral foundations are weak to non-existent, and they fail to understand the long term consequences.

There are some notable exceptions, to be cheered and held up as role models, but sadly, many prefer to keep the downtrodden totally dependent and thus likely to vote for them in the expectation of having their basic needs met, producing an "entitlement mentality."

This is a cultural problem, not a racial one, but it may be nearly impossible to change that culture. The true victims are the children, and their children and grandchildren who will repeat the cycle in a downward spiral.

When people keep giving you fish, why bother learning to fish? When there is no shame for promiscuity or unwed motherhood, or respect for marriage, why marry?

The first step to to admit there is a problem and identify it.
