I love Coach A's attitude and the way he goes about things. Talk about a class act who understands the reasons why there are athletics in college. So happy for him to become a top shelf coach in the Big 10! Good Luck Coach!

    GO UTES!!!

and after week 1... GO AGGIES!! Tialavea for 6!!!!

Don't pretend like you know all. Because you don't. AZUTE1 proves that. And we aren't talking about SUU. You must be a closet fan.

    @Ifel of a-sofa

No sour grapes here. You assume to much. I can go anywhere I want and say what I want. How are you gonna stop me? Why would you say that last thing? You clearly don't know me.

stang is just a sour grapes troll. he predicted last year that the aggies would be bad too... and they finished #22 in the BCS.

he is a true wizard! haha

stang just stay on the SUU boards where you have any relevance... glad you are out of cache valley!

usu's 2013 recruiting class consisted 100% of 2-Stars, literally, per Scout. It requires an exceptional leader such as Coach GA to mold/elevate such low-level talent into overachievers, relative to where they entered into college ranked, and even then it took him a number of years to achieve. Brent Guy did Coach GA a favor in rebuilding usu's scholly-total by recruiting FR and RS most. KG inherited 56 scholarship players, yet left 97 behind.

Exceptions exist, but over long-haul, program w/higher-ranked recruits on average will win more/lose less vast majority of time.

    BSU--EX. of raising their overall Star-avg. Per Scout, their 2013 haul included 19 3s and 7 2s, 1 a K.

    By comparison, byu's 2013 had 1 4-, 6 3s & 19 2s.

Any wonder why beating usu by 3-points at home is the lone decent win byu has in recent years?

Please Stang elaborate on how they're sub par players and please try to avoid your usual dribble. And of course it wasn't hard. 750,000 dollars as compared to 2,000,000 dollars per year. Hhhhmmmmmm not difficult. So tell me how SUU will win it all with they're "superior" players. Bet you can't :)

Against a triple-digit SOS. usu was a good team, but barely beating our worst team at UTAH in years in OT at home w/a highly controversial penalty call, our QB out w/injuries throughout mounting, an ejection, to boot, needing a regulation game ending FG to miss and an unforced error on our Punt gifting usu a TD and pointing to it as their signature win on the season hardly commands bowing down.

A triple-digit SOS and they couldn't even manage to do what UTAH did twice, while playing against a more difficult SOS mind you, and go undefeated, as well as BCS Bowling/WINNING!

Just simply keeping it real for you!

Sub par players? Really Stang? I'm sorry but Sub par players don't go 11-2, win their conference outright and end up ranked 16th in the nation.

He can't say it was a hard decision. Given the fact that he goes from a nothing school to a BCS school. And going from a team that has sub par players who can only win the Potato Bowl to a team with amazing players who have a shot at a National Title. Ifel Of a Sofa, almost has never counted. You either win or lose and in your case you lost. And Don't pretend like you don't have sour grapes. USU will go back where they were this year without Andersen. It's just a fact that the aggies can't escape.

I'm in St George right now, but was at Wisconsin for 30 years and still have season tickets there. I'm totally excited to have coach Anderson at UW. On Wisconsin!

Did he say he is patterning the program after McBride? How many conference championships and top 25 final appearances did he have?

Andy Ludwig as OC? Boy, I just don't see Wisconsin going anywhere.

Like it or not, Utah State is at the bottom of the NCAA Division 1-FBS food chain and is the poorest of the MWC Lil' Sisters. The ONLT reason Utah State was invited to the MWC is Craig Thompson felt it could be a potential trump card to baclckmail BYU back in kicking and screaming. There is no way Utah State was going to be able to hang onto a coach with Gary Andersen's talents, and this will be a prepetual revolving door in Logan even if Matt Wells is successful.

What Aggie fans need to get a grip on is the demography and student body draw and alumni bases were shifting greatly even as far back as 50+ years ago. This shift favored BYU and later contributed to the growth of Utah Valley University. Utah State will NEVER have have the enrollment demands of post graduates that Utah or even BYU has, nor the level of academic prowess of an undergraduate studentbody that BYU has. They might be a land and space grant institution but will mrely be as relevant as other state schools in Ogden, Orem & Cedar City. Which is why Andersen left.

Wish Coach Andersen the best. Great coach and did a great job at USU. BUT I hope you have one L on your schedule next year. Go Cougs.

As an Aggie, it still stings having Coach A leave, but I totally understand.

As for Wisconsin and Camp Randall, I fell in love with the place last year while watching my Aggies almost get the upset. It is a very cool place and I could not believe the storied grounds and the friendly Wisconsin people. I have cheered for the Badgers after that trip.

USU will be ok, Coach Andersen brought back the swagger to the kids and has them believing again. USU is better for having him! Taking a bottom D1 team to top 25 in the BCS in 4 years... takes a special guy to be able to do that.

Lets Go Aggies... give 'em the horns!

    It's all about the money.

And I have no problem with that. I just wish the coaches admitted it.

Money and winning, that's all that matters in this game. And that's how it should be.

    Go Utes!
