The EPA clean air regulations for semi-tractors are seriously flawed and cause these kinds of fires. They also take a truck that is getting 6.5 mpg to 4.2 mpg.
All the scrubbers and related electronics and twin turbos make the engines less efficient, most costly, in the shop more often and repairs more costly. They produce far more environment damaging effects then the previous engines and they have very little good effects.
The trucks produced in 2005 have better fuel mileage and produce almost no emissions.
Stuck in Parleys canyon because of a truck, thank the EPA for the wonderful job they do in making ours and therefore you life so much better!
