Yeah I don't have any ink. Where did you go to highschool Ifel Ofa-sofa?
Just a little curious since you brought up where I went to school.
stang did you remove your crummy MC tattoo and have it replaced with a high
class SUU tat?
@KolossI have a feeling you wouldn't be saying that if he was
still at USU. You'd be singing a whole different tune.
He may have merely taken a few recruits he would have had play for him at USU to
Madison. I don't think his recruitment of Utah players will go much further
over the next few years, less they be extremely high caliber.
@Ifel Of a-sofaMaybe he had that crummy tattoo removed.
Wouldn't you if you got the chance to coach at a better school who beat
Coach Andersen actually has sons playing at USU, BYU and Wisc... but the only
blue he will be wearing is that of his UTAH STATE tattoo!
Maybe Utah should return the favor and offer some of the snowbound flatlanders
from the Midwest a chance to go west and experience what the PAC-12 offers. The
U has the conference, the facilities and the geography to create a lot of
interest. I've spent a lot of time in Chicago and both Michigan and
Wisconsin and they can't compare to the west.
Lad brings up a good point although Michigan has been recruiting Utah pretty
hard in the last few years. I think there is more talent here than what the
outsiders seem to think.
What Anderson is doing is to be expected, he recruits what he knows, but after
he's become familiar with Big 10 traditional recruiting hotbeds, he
won't be making return trips to Utah to look for kids. Penn, Ohio, Indiana,
Wisconsin all have huge numbers of high schools many times more than the numbers
of larger schools along the Wasatch Front. Madison is two hours away from
Chicago competing against the single Big 10, well respected school in-state,
Univ of Illinois, which is further away than Madison being downstate in
Champlain. So with 5 times the high schools in the Chicago metro area than can
be found in the state of Utah, it makes sence to stay at home, with a few side
trips to western Pennsylvania, Cleveland, Detroit, maybe Indianapolis.
Interesting that Andersen's son is going to BYU, and both GA and Bronco
have talked about what a great experience that was for BYU and the Andersen
family. So will GA wear a Y T-shirt under his badger red on the sidelines this
I can see some great recruiting battles between Gary and Whittingham in the
years to come. We should schedule a home and home with them.
