Jason should go to the celtics
Hopefully Jason gets a good look with a NBA summer league team or two. That will
help his stock rise in Europe. It was great watching what Krystko was able to do
with Wash. Duckhunter - I wasn't aware that this was an article
about JaMarcus Russell, but its interesting you'd bring him up. While we
are on the topic though, who is BYU's worst #1 overall pick. Actually you
don't have to answer, this is a Utah basketball article. Since it is a
basketball article we could talk about overall NBA #1 picks if you'd like.
@duckhunterWorst #1 overall pick in NFL history? LOLSeriously, which are you, a Utah "hater" or a byu "fan"? My
money is on the former.Getting back to NBA players, how is that 1st
rounder from byu doing? Worst #10 pick in NBA history? It's quite
possible.Good luck Jason!
The jazz must have needed to fill a roster spot at camp that day. Washburn is
not an NBA or even a D-league prospect. He has too many holes in his game. Too
slow, too lurpey, too bad.
@vegasuteThat's a great point, he should have been called out
for trying to put the worst #1 overall pick in NFL history into "maybe"
the top half of the NFL. There's no "maybe", there's no
Blimey, mate! Azute1 - don't you know? He's just doing his job as
self appointed determiner of "commenters that are ill informed or have
uneducated opinions". Funny how he didn't play that role against
himself when he boldly posted that Alex Smith "maybe" in the top half of
the NFL. Jason, I wish you well. You represented Utah and yourself
very well. You are a class act. I am hoping you stick in the NBA somewhere,
but I will most likely have to root for you from afar. Go Utes!!
BTW, it's impressive watching the extent to which this purported USC fan
continues to go to in showing us how much he's actually a USC fan and NOT
really just simply another average byu fan. Impressive display of loyalty!
This invite was made possible by the significantly remarkable turn-around JW
made under Coach LK's tutelage. 100% impossible, were it not for Coach LK.
I'm happy as all heck for JW.Some of the greatest experiences
I've had as a UTAH Alumnus and an avid UTE fan were of watching JW play,
but in particular watching him in-person down here inside of WFA against ASU and
TMC against ua this last season. It was utterly surreal to see what seemingly
appeared to be some kid I'd never previously seen. He, LITERALLY, abused
each and every player those 2 teams threw at him. Not even the typically rabid,
heckling ASU students during his FT-Attempts could even remotely faze him. The
dude was in a freaking ZONE.OUTSTANDING person/player, and it was
great to have finally met him in-person inside of Walmart up there in S.L.C.
over the holidays, right after watching UTAH play against College of Idaho in
THC. Good luck to you UTAH UTE for life, Jason Washburn!
Crissy B,Since Jimmer IS in the NBA and Josh is a wanna be I'm
guessing your money is on Jimmer?
@Chris BI didn't know you had such a man crush on Jimmer. That's
so sweet of you to say about him. I don't think either will be in the NBA 5
years from now but it's good to see you shed your hatred of BYU for one
brief moment. Good on you. Also nice to see you post on a utah article for a
If I had to guess whether Jimmer or Washburn had a better chance at being in the
NBA five years from now, I know where I'd go!
I'm not a Ute fan but I really like Washburn. He stuck it out through some
really tough times and didn't bail like everyone else did. And he always
gave 100 percent effort. Like others have said, he won't play in the NBA,
but hope he makes a good living in Europe. Good luck to him.
You can't teach "tall" and that's where his talent begins and
ends regarding the NBA. Yesterday is as close as he will get to the NBA. He
has a shot at playing in Asia or third tier in Europe if he wants to continue
his basketball career. That being said, if he want to work at ESL, it will
be as a vendor.
Love Washburn, but he isn't an NBA player. He has heart and guts, but not
Sure would be convenient to work down the street from where you went to school.
Jason is not done playing but it won't be in he U. S. Go to Europe my
You can't measure heart but this kid's got it in spades. I would love
to see the Jazz take him in the second round.
