Some of today's young Moms don't have a clue about parenting. A somewhat similar event occurred today in a retail store in Utah County. A small toddler, less than age two, was discovered alone in the store playing with shattered glass, after knocking over a $35 lamp. A store employee rescued the toddler before it could cut itself, but the Mom was nowhere in sight. After walking the child across the store in search of its Mom, she was finally found and told her toddler was rescued from playing with broken glass after breaking a lamp.

The Mom showed no concern whatsoever; did not apologize, or say thank-you, or offer to pay for the broken item. She immediately turned to her toddler and started talking to it in baby-talk...oh baby broke a lamp, you okay baby? Then she walked off with the toddler. She did not once apologize or express anything to the store employee.

There seems to be a culture of no responsibility, by the parent or the child. Kids are not held accountable and parents do not discipline their kids, or teach them the right thing to do.
