    RE: Che26

This was the first year doing the Varsity Cup and only about half of the elite collegiate teams play in that tournament. The others belong to USA Rugby which has been around for some time. So, yes there is another National Championship and whomever wins that will feel at least partially entitled to the title of National Champs. That being said, most rugby fans know that the team to beat is Cal and if there was some sort of polling or unbiased ranking system BYU would certainly have finished this season as the #1 team in America having beaten them.

Thank you for your continued support for BYU athletics. Your obsession is showing.

Cool sport when real sports aren't in session, but most College Athletics fans nationwide are oblivious to it's mere existence.

Were we talking an undefeated, BCS Bowl Game domination over sec powerhouse Alabama, finishing #2 in the nation, then it would actually matter.

I can't wait for the book deals and movies made out of this.

So Rugby is another sport where, when teams lose, they put the blame on BYU having more 'mature players'? And USA Rugby caves to their complaints.

'Good on ya' BYU Rugby for not giving in to those ignorant rules! And congrats on another unbelievable season!

As someone who is not very familiar with Rugby and the organization. Was the varsity cup the actual National Championship or was there another league that claims to be the championship?

From the little I know it seems that Cal and BYU are the class of college rugby so I just want some clarification on how Rugby is setup.
