I have been enjoying this series. I am a confirmed BYU fan and have been for 60 years. Eric is one Utah player that I respect. The day John Beck beat Utah with that end of the game pass to the end zone stared my respect for Eric. That had to be a heart breaking loss for him, but he had the class to go up to John, put his arm around him and congratulate him. That was classy to the nth degree and I have respected him ever since. I hope he continues to do well.

In college the guy was an impact player who could turn the direction of a game around by himself. Class player, class individual.

I hated to play against Weddle... he was too good. A great competitor with unlimited talent. Hated when he beat up on my Cougars... but always respected him. I cheer him on at San Diego and wish him the best. Great fellow.

Often things happen to is in life that seem really bad at the time but we later see how they were really a blessing. I've had that happen a number of times.

Perspective is gained through experience and sometimes the experiences are painful and hard. It looks like Eric has gained perspective and appears to understand how the experience actually benefitted him.

What a nice story this was to read, I really enjoyed it.
