It is interesting that the man that was campaigning to be the next Attorney General of Utah would make statements that were recorded that would tell a guy that was under investigation by the consumer protection agency that he would change the current process to have that agency fall under the AGs office after he "was" elected? He and the Governor were attacking the federal lands issue differently and Swallow was saying during the campaign his process was better than the Governor's process.

As a land developer the Governor knows different ways to get land than just by the "law".

The GOP convention last year had quite a few irregularities in the District of Congressman Stewart and if known with the John Swallow irregularities in the month and days preceding the Convention. A lot of the Assistant AGs didn't want John Swallow elected and Sean Reyes was just too new to the Utah political environment to get the name recognition that Swallow had from his various campaigns and offices he held. Now John Swallow has too much name recognition and this article wouldn't be recognized if it didn't have his name and history attached to it.

    Re. DN Subcriber 2

Your powers of drawing logical conclusions (or lack there of) are astounding.

    Nuf said.

Once again, the Governor's Office has abdicated its responsibility to restore public trust. There are multiple credible ethical charges against the Attorney General's Office that go beyond what any Department of Justice investigation will answer. The time has come for an independent investigation into these charges.

You can tell a lot about a man by his enemies.

Okay, so far we have an indicted guy from southern Utah desperately trying to escape conviction by framing other people alleging Swallow misconduct.

Then we have some extreme left wing advocacy group unhappy about him.

Obama's notoriously politicized Department of Justice, headed by Eric Holder, who has been busy covering up his own scandalous "Fast and Furious" gun running scheme weighed in and pushed out the local U.S. Attorney who Swallow HIMSELF had requested investigate any allegations. This allows Holder and Obama to smear and undercut one of their most troublesome adversaries as they tey to execute their western land grabs.

And now, we have a senior Utah state government bureaucrat engaging in what seems to be more of a turf war over the AG's office even talking to anyone about matters they think belong in the consumer protection office rice bowl.

I believe John Swallow more than any of his critics, and think if he has that many people like that attacking him, he must be doing a good job.
