Chris Hicks: Major networks bungle competing with cable, new technology

    ...and then there's Blue Bloods -- a show about a tight-knit Catholic family from a Jewish producer. This family has dinner together and prays around the dinner table. It frequently shows us acts of amazing integrity and supports other values that are anathema to TV from any source. How can Blue Bloods and Two and a half Men be on the same network? I don't get it. I'm not arguing with Chris' point -- but Blue Bloods is more than an interesting exception to the entropy of television.
