I agree, and LDS need to do more than just talk about others faults and start being part of driving solutions and sweeping societal changes. As we adopt, foster and give time, money and prayers, we will use the collective power of the priesthood to change out country from the first day of a child's life to the last. Instead members are more concerned with bashing undocumented workers and deriding the BSA for adopting a non-discriminatory policy against LGBTQ youth. Shame on us as a collective. We need to set our sights on God's work.

A while back I flipped across a religious tv show where a host discussed topics with people who called in. The topic of discussion was how god apparently sanctions the beating of children. It's great that churches will pray for the safety of children, but they've got to stop enabling the abuse first.
