Utah Pac-12 record so far, 6-19. UVU could at least do that well in the Pac-12 this year and this is a rebuilding year for UVU. The freshman are now coming on...stay tuned.

What is the DNews obsession with UVU sports? Yes the baseball team won 32 games in the Great West Conference. Rated by the NCAA as the worst baseball conference in the USA.....by far. Of close to 250 D1 Baseball Programs, the GWC had 6 of their 8 teams rated between 225 and 250 last year. These teams would struggle to beat top notch Utah high school teams and would get drilled by SLCC. Of their Nations best 47 wins 32 came against the GWC and 6 more against SUU (ended their program after last year). They were 11 and 12 against other teams. Not even close enough to be considered for the post season.

The GWC is so bad; UVU uses their best pitchers for Week Day games and makes winning these a priority. Take Tuesday night’s game against Utah for example. UVU starts their Ace starter, follows up with their #2 starter, and then brings in their best reliever. Utah starts a guys that has pitched less than 10 innings all year. Utah still figures out how to win with much better athletes and guys now getting seasoned playing top PAC 12 talent.

    Enough UVU.
