This "intense dual making it feel that the playoffs started a week early" came against one of the poorer teams in the league, playing without their top 2 scorers, at energy solutions arena. That doesn't feel likely play off intensity to me to struggle against a bad team at home when you are fighting for a playoff spot. If the Jazz beat the Spurs, Thunder, Clippers or a real good team, then I would buy into this headline. Or even if the game was on the road, like the next 2, I would buy into it a little, but to struggle at home with a depleted Timberwolf team is not giving me a lot of hope.

Maybe the Jazz should start treating every single game of the year as if it were a playoff game. Stop settling for average, and instead of expecting to be a 7th or 8th seed, expect to be the #1 seed. As far as Favors and the flagrant foul is concerned, Favors may not see another minute this year. Just ask Demarre Carroll, he had a flagrant foul against Kevin Durrant in March, and the very next game his minutes went to exactly 0. He has been riding the pine ever since, with just a little bit of garbage time here and there. Demmarre Carroll brings the tenacity and attitude the Jazz need, and yet Corbin refuses to give him minutes he has earned and deserves.
