Candy a88 cops- if this would of been a woman by her self or a young man look out for the beat down would of happened, but no this was a guy who would possibly fight back as he had nothing to loose - so just shoot him dead - un -armed - he had no weapon in his hand

Ytube after Ytube after Ytube showing cops beating down everyone from school kids to old grandma's and that's the truth

This guy was obviously sick he sure didn't deserve to be executed

@iron&clay The man has tazered twice. The tool is designed to knock people down. We'll see what the toxicology report shows. But, my guess this guy was high as his wife indicated and he has had a long history of using. Which made the tasers pretty much useless. So now you have a guy that is not going down with tasers zapping him, he claims to have a gun and is threatening to kill you, he is moving towards you and disobeying police orders, he clearly has no regard for his life or anyone elses as he sped through counties putting children and adults at risk.

Would you recommend letting this guy go and kill someone with his car? Would you recommend the police hope he doesn't have a weapon and hook the taser to the car battery? Would you like to volunteer and talk to people in this situation and talk him through it?

    What is your solution?

Maybe you should get a police job to talk sense into people.

Was there uniform training for the different agencies of law enforcement officers who converged on the site about how to subdue?

Why did all other officers NOT fire on Sandy man?

Was the Willard deputy a little skittish?

This is an example to those who defend the right of the people to own and bear arms. If a much larger aggressive person with massive muscle mass comes at you, the playing field is leveled when you can pull a firearm for your defense, especially if you have a deputy Barney Fife physique.

JDL - I made that comment because on the first story, before all of the facts were out, people were jumping to the conclusion that the police shot an unarmed man and had no reason to do so. That was a false premise, as a man threatening to kill officers and stating that he has a gun is just as dangerous and does call for deadly force. Should they have called his bluff and not believed that he had a gun? That would be a deadly proposition for the police. So now that all of the facts are out it sounds like the police did indeed have cause to use deadly force on this crazy guy. I am sure the majority of police would rather not shoot somebody just for fun. It comes with the job, unfortunately. But hey, if you aren't a fool and don't come after the police then you should never have to worry about being shot by them, right?

But he was a devoted father of 10, is what the media was being fed. Which he probably was. When you call the police and tell them that you will take their lives. What do you expect the police to do? They can either take the threat seriously or blow off the threat and walk up to the guy to find out if he meant it or not.

Sad situation, but, before you condemn the police let's look at the whole picture.

Do you feel better now? Have you justified your feelings by your accusing people of conspiracy when no such post has even been made?

It's been reported he said he had a gun but so far there have been no reports that he really did have a gun. From what has been reported to date the only conclusion I can come up with is that he wanted to die by cop. A sad commentary for what ever the reason

I make no judgment in this case because we have just been given the official police version but I will say that there are more killings by cops in the past 2 years than I remember in the past 10+ years combined. To me there is something wrong with that picture. Perhaps it's because we have become a more violent people or that we have more quick trigger cops or both, which ever it is many of the killings by cop are suspicious.

Aaaaannnnd BINGO. So now we know why he was shot and that this isn't some big police conspiracy to shoot people who are unarmed. If somebody says I am going to kill you and I have a gun, I am not going to wait around to see if he was serious. The police had just followed him at over 100 mph, and so he was clearly a danger to everybody on the road and the police. He could have complied, he chose to threaten.
