If I have to take 14 days of unpaid leave and actually work, I have no problem with the unemployed getting theirs cut, too. What's up with the guy in the picture? Did he seriously bring his wife and kid to a job fair? The stupid should be unemployed.

Since the USA is almost fully socialist anyway, why don't they complete the process by requiring everyone to work to receive money? When I was in West Germany on my mission, while the Berlin wall still stood, West Germany was Socialist. When someone lost their job, they had about 16 weeks to find a job of their choice and then, if they hadn't landed a job, they were offered three jobs to choose from. If they didn't/wouldn't take any of the three jobs, they'd lose all benefits/money.

Great! That will leave more money for the Federal Government to pay it's bills! I think we should put a job application instead of a unemployment compensation check under their work boots! Oh wait a minute...that won't work out at all....they will neve find the job application! America has a spending problem...it's time to cut, cut and then cut some more. And that includes cutting unemployment compensation checks. And it's about time!

Just exactly what are "Emergency" benefits?
Is that the 99 week extension?
Surely, people are getting the unemployment benefits from the original plan. They could go six months, right?
So, this so-called "benefit" is really a welfare program. It's not really earned unemployment, is it.
