It isn't an excuse when Corbin says players are letting impending free agency affect their performance, it is a reality that this team is not invested in the Jazz future at all. The bigger issue is the repeated mistakes of Coach Corbin. He is the worst communicator I have ever seen and you can't understand anything the man is saying. He continues to not have his team mentally or physically prepared and as a tactician he is horrible. He refuses to substitute defense for offense at the end of the game, he hasn't figured out how to get 2 possessions for 1 at the end of quarters, his substitution and rotation patterns are non existent. The Jazz need to can him!

Trade away your franchise point guard for an athletic, freak of nature big man, who changes the game when he is in, and then...... sit him on the bench. (Favors) yeah, the big guy from New Jersey.... That's who I am talking about. Uh, yeah, why don't you play him Corbin?

Oh these poor basketball players, they are under so much stress knowing knowing where they will be playing next season. The pressure must be unbearable and it has to be the reason they have lost so many close games this season.

It couldn't possibly have anything to do with poor coaching, could it?

Heavy is the burden of Free Agency and the millions of dollars that come with it. I only wish I could reach out and share that burden with them.

Coach Corbin must be feeling the heat. He is in excuse mode to try and save his job.

Corbin is a very nice and likable person. But at this point, it sounds like this is just an excuse for his team not performing up to expectations and a somewhat desperate attempt to save his own job.
We've all seen the Jazz play brilliantly at times this season. As such, we know the talent is there. It's the coaches job to make the most of the talent given him and bring some consistency to the team. That hasn't been happening. It's become obvious and now the coach is starting to make excuses. Hopefully, the head office is smarter than that, and will proceed to make the tough decisions that have to be made to make us a contender again... as we were so many years under coach Sloan.

The only thing that's fuzzy are Ty's coaching skills.

Here's a solution Corbin. Quit counting on the guys that will be free agents in the summer and play the core 4. None of them will be free agents this summer. Why can't you figure that out all by yourself?
