Re: "Third, do not(I REPEAT) do not donate ANY food for me in your mis-guided folly . . . ."

    Too late. I already did.

What a miserable existence it must be for a fella who is so dead set against so much good!

First of all I enjoy duel residency
in Utah(Salt Lake County) and in California.

Second, the very, very close relationship
the bsa and the lds church has, it's policy
on gays, and the lack of responsibility
on certain things(remember the forest fire in the Uintas)
    renders it anything but good.

Third, do not(I REPEAT) do not donate ANY
food for me in your mis-guided folly of
patting yourself on the back for your good deed!!!!

Richard, as you are out of state and thus the area of this collection, no one will stop at your house for this food drive. I am curious though, why would you or any who "likes" your comment be so emphatically against something that is so good? Tell you what I will put in some extra in my donation for you as you are too far away for them to stop by.

Much good comes from this as young men have another opportunity learning to serve, the whole community has an opportunity to participate and many in need are fed.

Sharing ones substance with another is one of the great traits of humanity and it is personally satisfying to the soul to participate by giving. I hope all will want to participate in this worthy cause. I promise you will feel good in doing so.

It almost sounds like if you did not get a bag from the boys, they will not pick up your stuff. Perhaps it would be more accurate to say, "Those who did not receive bags from Scouts this week can use any bag or box. Just set it out on the porch. If you forget or get missed you can also take donations to drop-off sites your community, or to food banks or emergency food pantries in Utah."

Hopefully the boys will follow instructions and knock at any door that does not have a donation set out already. Experience has shown that many people simply forget and are disappointed if they miss the opportunity. By knocking on every door, total donations will increase by more than a third and many more people will be grateful for your extra effort.
