This is great that more spaces are being created in the Med School. However, I hope that our legislators will realize/not forget that these med students have to go through residency and fellowship before they practice....that is where they often leave. Not only do we need more spaces for medical students, we need more funding for residents!!! Too often, they leave for residency and don't come back to practice. Please, let's advocate for more residents. We are headed in the right direction, but we are just beginning. If we want to retain these students, let's make room for them to be residents!

I hope the med school funding goes through- Utah desperately needs more doctors and more medical school slots. I heard they were considering putting in a dental school, but we have plenty of dentists already. As much funding as possible should go to medical students to serve the growing population. Good to see lawmakers trying to do something that will actually help things.

I wonder if we could get the good Senator to create a website where we could see exactly who donates what to each Senator and Representative. I think this should include every Jazz ticket every dinner provided etc etc. I think we should also be able to see a detailed breakdown of every taxpayer dime spent in their behalf on this same site. I would like to see the transparency police be a little more transparent themselves.
