Thanks for your comment, Jack. So many think we shove religion down the throats of anyone crazy enough to attend BYU. You showed that wasn't true. I appreciate your remarks, and that you've had a great forty years. May you continue in health and happiness.

I think this is a wonderful story. Going to BYU as a non Mormon is a pretty scary thing. I know because I went there in 1972 and I had a great experience. The folks in my dorm were all pretty great guys but coincidence of coincidence my roommate was a recently returned missionary starting his return to a BYU education. I watched him and he was such a good person it was easy to tell he believed what his religion taught. I was happy in my church and was actually recommended to go by the BYU handbook even giving me the local congregation meeting place and meeting times. In those days there was no regular full time missionaries so we had to have stake missionaries. These were wonderful folks to and they taught me the gospel. BYU is full of these conversion stories and it always makes me feel good to read them. These stories are about most of the kids that go to BYU with the right attitude. They are all great examples thatallow regular people do great things.I have just celebrated forty years in the church and have loved every minute of it.
