since he has basically said he is no longer Mormon, how does that represent the brighter side of Mormonism? unless, of course, you intended your comment as a slam on Mormonism

Huntsman will not win the gop let alone the White House with his lines of thinking. HIs positions will alienate most of the GOP.

As both parties scurry toward the wings, and disastrous outcomes for America are the result, our only hope is a moderate President. Please run, Jon!

Well it's good to see the D-News has moved on from Mitt--for a while, it was called the Romney Reader. I sure prefer the Huntsman Herald to the Romney Reader, but the D-News would do well to focus on the highest ranking LDS member in politics right now--Harry Reid.

Meanwhile, the righties can run Oliver North and Allen West for 2016. Oliver North would be a great choice for them since the neo-cons are wanting to start a war with Iran--he could tell them what weapons he sold to them in the Reagan Administration. Allen West and his McCarthy style politics of hunting out "un-American" people would give many of the Tea Party types goosebumps. A North/West ticket is what the righties want, and it could give the GOP some direction...get it!

Please GOP for the sake of this nation...keep going right for your nominees--even further right than Santorum.

Shock me! Another article by the DesNews about Jon Jr.

Seems the DesNews has become The Jon Huntsman Jr News.

Who's making the executive decision to run articles ad nauseum regarding this completely spoon-fed, arrogant, and irrelevant politician?

It would be a good idea for the DesNews and Jon Jr to "move on". We don't care.

It is good if Mr Huntsman remains in public service. He is capable and can make a difference, also he presents (if not represents) a much brighter side of Utah society and Mormonism.

    @Star Bright
David Axelrod (or Plouffe I forget which) said after the 08 election that Huntsman was the one guy that concerned him for 2012. Then Obama sent him to China, ruining him among the GOP primary electorate. Huntsman would've been very popular among independents if he's this popular among Democrats and liberals. We are being totally serious when we say that we believe Huntsman would have won if he were the nominee.

I believe there IS room for a 3rd party in the U.S.

BUT, based on Huntsmans' positions so far in his political career, he would definitely take more votes from dems. than from the Repubs.

Maybe/possibly this "3rd party" idea could get some strength IF they made their positions clear and totally committed to exact steps they would take for the country.

    The political campaigns need CLARITY.

I sincerely hope he runs. We would do well to have him serve as President.

Wonder what party he will run under? Understand the "no name party" or whatever it's called wants him as their candidate.
For people on a former article to quote that 0bama was really afraid to run against him, is such a joke! The dems wanted to pick our candidate and they tried with Jon Jr.
I agree with most of the above, get real and give it a rest.

can you please tell us what he had for breakfast, too? We're just DYING to hear more about Mr. Irrelevant.

Which reminds me, when he runs, who will head his ticket, him or Rocky Andersen?

Thank you for this daily update on things Huntsman.
I suffer from anxiety attacks when I don't know what's happening in Jon Jr's life.
Seriously DN, give it a rest.

I hope he runs so that I can vote against him. Huntsman has gone totally off of the reservation.

After the shellacking the GOP took in an election it should have won, Huntsman represents the only real chance the party currently has to broaden its reach and be cpmpetitive again.

Can't we even go a full week without some fawning article positing Jon Huntsman Jr. as a presidential candidate, or for the job of wisest man in the world, or sainthood or something?

He needs to get a real job and reporters need to go look for actual stories that are important news.
