    It would be very interesting to learn if this guy actually has any guns at home. If he does, we need to know if he had them "legally." And if they are "legal" will they be confiscated and will he lose his "right" to possess them?

    Or will the police be powerless to act because he has not been convicted of a felony?

    This is an excellent example of the kinds of contradictory challenges we face in finding a way to solve our gun problems.

    Assuming the facts are as stated, this guy should be (a) involuntarily committed to a mental hospital, (b) lose gun rights forever, (c) prosecuted to the full extent of the law for each and every criminal act listed, and (d) put away in jail for a long, long time.

    We don't need more gun laws, we need to lock up dangerous people.

    And, if dangerous people ever attack law abiding citizens, let's hope they can shoot back to defend themselves!
